ABSOLUTE CINEMA this game is indescribibly peak
This game isn't fun. this games gives you so much busy work. go over here and explore this lifeless island full of korok seeds do some parkour and then get a little bit of story drip fed to you and every once in a while you get to do a more trad sonic level but even those are short. this game feels like a sonic theme park without the sonic theme. there is soooooo much parkour to do but basically nothing sonic related accept when you do enough parkour to earn a little bit of story. its pretty lame. i wasn't exactly a fan of breath of the wild either but this feels like that but actually worse some how i don't understand. this game actually has some extremely great ideas with combat and boss's and even the new movement and boost mechanics are sooooo good. but its attatched to this thing that feels like a giant terrible demo. this game lacks focus. if they hadn't done the open world and kept the story and kept the game play mechanics only in actual smaller levels more akin to mario 64 this could of worked. but its sooooo much space with so much nothing to do accept tiny annoying parkour puzzles. i love doing parkour stuff in sonic games but at least you can combo from one parkour speed thing in to another most of the time most of the little parkour puzzles are disjointed and spread so far out that you can't almost ever chain them together so it just feels like someone smashed a ton of floating rails in the sky and a bunch of dash pads on the ground randomly into short little "fun" things. this game is the equivalent of going to to a theme park and then getting on the lazy river ride only to listen to "its a small world after all" or "this is the song that never ends" yes i do mean lamb chop.... anyway rant/game review over this is awful. i hate the fact that i dislike this game so much. island 2 actually for me was worse than the first ugh. I know this will probably get alot of laugh reacts but I thought Sonic Forces was a better game. and thats saying alot...
got this on steam, but already finished the whole game on console, the game has high graphics and a really nice storyline i highly reccomend this game
that whole game couldve been an email, the same 4 assets pasted across a couple of stock roblox studio terrains, other than the cyberspace levels which are also reused assets just from older in the series, and then all the major boss fights are super sonic fights which are just "press parry at all", not even time it, you can just hold parry forever and it works whenever something connects story was alright i liked sage but also like the rest of the game 40% of it is copy pasted from breath of the wild,
ancient civilization that is more advanced than the current one builds mechs for their higher leaders before they are taken out by a bigger evil and you have to take that out with their help
infinitely better than forces i suppose, there was still some enjoyment to be had here and it never really felt miserable, it was ok the whole way but it didn't really have any heights either since everything is mostly the same assets and blends together and the boss fights are just fine, you mostly parry sprint and spam past them
i would rather saw my nuts off then ever open this game again. this aint the "next big step for sonic" or "the best the franchise has ever been" them twitter folks have been calling it. don't waste your money trust
