Eh. It's fine. I'm not a fan of games that go open world just for the sake of it or to imitate Ubisoft's tired checklist formula and while Frontiers does manage to put its own spin on things here and there I think it overall just ends up feeling bloated and bland to me. I'm aware that linear level design has been going out of style for a long time now, but I will always prefer an intricate, well-designed semi-linear sequence of challenges over an inherently breakable, bland open world soup like this. (And hell, the tiny Cyberspace levels in this are arguably even worse than Forces' slop, so that's not much of an argument either.) What's even the point of a platforming challenge when there's neither pressure to perform through lives or a timer, nor any actual challenge, since you can just break it on your own time in any number of ways? In any case, it's clear a lot of effort went into this game and the fact that they kept adding to it based on in-depth fan feedback is absolutely lovely to see. This is definitely not the kind of direction I'd like to see for the series in the future, but seeing as they followed this up with Sonic X Shadow, I think we're safe in that regard. Decent game. Not for me.

its like, lowk tuff. sonic play good. cyber space is like okay i guess. collectathon is like, engaging enough i guess. theres like, no reason not to get the game, but like also no good reason to get the game either.

Wer Fan des blauen Igels ist, bekommt ihn hier auch in 3D geboten. Das Spiel bietet coole Fähigkeiten, Rätsel und gute Musik, die dem schnellen Spielstil von Sonic angepasst sind, und auch Gegner, die man mit Geschwindigkeit und etwas Überlegung zur Strecke bringen kann. Warum ich trotzdem den Daumen nach unten gebe und das Spiel nicht durchgespielt habe? Leider schalten sich manche Sachen auf der Karte erst später frei, die Karte jeder Insel entdeckt man nur stufenweise und oft findet man einfach einen Weg auf irgendeine Anhöhe nicht. Meistens weiß man den Grund nicht, dann läuft man wie bekloppt eine Stunde die Insel ab und hofft, dass sich vielleicht etwas ändert. So etwas mag in manchen Spielen wie Dark Souls ok sein, aber dieser Stillstand und dieses Herumsuchen passen überhaupt nicht zu der schnellen Spielwelt von Sonic

Un sacré sonic 3d entre folie (genre des phase de maniac shoot ou pinball) et moment chiant (level up) assez long (21h00) pour l'histoire principale sans la partie bonus (un gros morceaux gratuit).
