The Bug menace is spreading. Retake and rebuild strategic bases, construct refineries, and complete high-stakes objectives to wrest control from the swarm. With massive maps featuring unique environmental hazards—from the blinding sandstorms of Valaka to the volcanic hellfire of Agni Prime—every mission is a desperate struggle for humanity’s future.
16-Player Co-Op: Coordinate between your squads to defend objectives, gather resources, and build the ultimate fortress.
Strategic Base Building: Use the refined ping system and building tools to erect walls, towers, and ammo stations in real-time.
The Carnage System: Experience the visceral reality of war as Bug corpses pile up, creating persistent physical terrain that changes the battlefield.
Intense Class-Based Combat: Master six distinct classes, each with deep progression, unique weapons, and specialized perks.
Dynamic Environment: The Bug menace is not the only thing you’ll have to contend with. The game features a time of day and dynamic weather system, which can help or hinder your cause.
The Ranger (Assault Infantry)
The Ranger is the premier boots-on-the-ground combatant, built for speed and agility. Equipped with a specialized jetpack, Rangers can rapidly traverse the battlefield to scout objectives or execute hit-and-run strikes. They excel in close-quarters combat, utilizing a versatile arsenal to keep the swarm at bay while maintaining high survivability. Whether flanking a Tiger Elite or rushing to a distant refinery, the Ranger’s mobility ensures they are always where the fighting is thickest. For the Trooper who wants to stay nimble and lethal, the Ranger is the ultimate tip of the spear.
The Sniper (Marksman/Recon) The Sniper serves as the eyes and ears of the Vanguard. Utilizing jump jets to reach high vantage points, they provide unparalleled reconnaissance and long-range fire support. Armed with the Morita XXX Sniper Rifle, they specialize in neutralizing high-priority threats like Plasma Grenadiers and Gunners before they can decimate the squad. The Sniper’s role is critical for identifying incoming waves and ensuring the team isn't blindsided. By perching atop mountains of dead bugs or high ridges, they can turn the hostile environment into a hunter's paradise, picking off Arachnids with surgical precision.
The Demolisher (Explosives Specialist) When the swarm becomes an impenetrable wall, the Demolisher breaks it. This class is an expert in all things explosive, trading subtlety for raw, area-of-effect destruction. Carrying a heavy mortar system on their back and a variety of grenade launchers, they can evaporate entire packs of Drones and Warriors in a single volley. The Demolisher thrives in high-pressure sieges, using their "Watkins Trigger" to clear out bug-infested zones. They are the heavy hitters necessary for holding the line during extraction, ensuring that no matter how many bugs arrive, they leave as green mist.
The Guardian (Heavy Defense) The Guardian is the Federation’s foremost defensive juggernaut. Clad in hardened armor plates and wielding the Morita MK3 SAW, they are built to anchor the frontline. Their core ability, Siege Mode, allows them to hunker down, increasing defensive stats and weapon stability at the cost of mobility. This makes them human turrets, capable of suppressing massive hordes while protecting more fragile teammates. If a base wall falls, the Guardian stands in the gap. They don't just kill bugs; they hold the ground that the Federation has paid for in blood.
The Engineer (Support/Logistics) The Engineer is the master of the base and the backbone of logistics. They are responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing the structures that keep the Vanguard alive. Engineers repair fortifications faster than any other class and can deploy specialized tools like flamethrowers and mines to create lethal choke points. Beyond construction, they manage the team's resource flow, ensuring ammo stations are stocked and defenses are reinforced during the heat of battle. A good Engineer doesn't just build a base; they turn a simple outpost into an impenetrable fortress of death.
The Medic (Support/Healing) Whenever a Trooper is down, the Medic is there to save the day. Equipped with a Medical UAV drone and stim-launchers, they can provide critical healing and long-distance revives even in the middle of a chaotic firefight. While every Trooper can perform a basic revive, the Medic does it faster and more effectively, keeping the squad’s combat effectiveness at its peak. They are the glue that holds the 16-player team together during prolonged missions, ensuring that every Trooper makes it home.
The Carnage System introduces a revolutionary persistent body system where defeated bug corpses no longer vanish. As you slay hundreds of Arachnids, their bodies pile up, creating literal mountains of gore, which can either be a help or hinderance, depending on the situation.
Gameplay Impact:
Dynamic Terrain: Dead bugs have full-body collision. These piles create new ramps that allow living bugs to climb over your walls, or provide Troopers with new high-ground vantage points.
Obstacles: Piles of corpses can block your line of sight or obstruct your path to extraction, forcing you to use explosives to clear the landscape.
Strategic Realism: You must manage the carnage. Ignoring a massive pile of dead bugs at your gate might give the next wave the perfect staircase right into your base!
This game, honestly? it's dead in the water. which is a huge shame cos i just want to 'do my part'
The handful of times i've had a full, competent team on ARC have been the absolute best of what this game has to offer. the rest? most players know nothing of the game and haven't played a shooter in their lives, let alone a TEAM BASED EXTRACTION SHOOTER emphasis on TEAM. the servers are a buggy laggy mess, the game chugs even on decent hardware & is just overall a slog for progression outside of double XP weekends. Playerbase? DEAD. basically only console players and even then it's rare to get a full lobby. Updates? the development is SLOW. The updates lack direction or even actual scope, no bugfixes and optimization, nothing NEW to do, it's just the same 3 maps on rotate with the same 10 players, until they all log out for the night. Instead we got an update for a 2min trailer of the game...that we're PLAYING. why? who thought that was necessary content? unfathomable. EDIT: as of 6/5/26 they have added a new update which is just a PAYWALLED XP BOOST and some cosmetics, have not fixed any actual issues with desync, lag etc & made it clear they don't care about making the game actually playable or listening to feedback in ANY CAPACITY. they just want your money and don't respect the players of the game, they only respect money. which is a twist that makes me irrationally upset. please don't buy this. you're not supporting the game at all. Honestly really disappointed how hard the devs fumbled this IP. in its earlier forms it was excellent, everything the rabid fans wanted, now its some random helldivers-esque slop that doesn't try to do any one particular thing well. its just....meh. i do recommend picking it up to revive the community so the devs actually DO SOMETHING WE WANT. otherwise? it's sadly another title slowly drowned in the shallow muddy puddle of development creep. i stepped off the dropship & realized nobody else is coming to play. nobody is going to come help fight the arachnid menace. it's just me. alone. the bugs aren't even spawning in. it's just an expansive empty map. the flags still wave silently in the wind, waiting for players that'll never come.
Безбожно лагает даже при вступительном ролике. Но испытывая не лучшие проблемы с онлайном, берут и вводят ограничения для игроков из РФ. Вопрос конечно риторический, но... Против игроков из США и Израиля ограничения почему не ввели?
The game is circling the drain compared to the release days. The community turned sour, no one wanted to get into the dropship so they could waste everyone's time for score padding, they got rid of cool systems like how the bombarding bugs worked. It's also amazing how much worse the game runs compared to launch. It only got worse with patches, not better. It has quite literally been updated into the ground. What drives the nail into the coffin for me is them using AI generated content. You could have had a trash heap that I would have returned to, but out of principle I wont. You really try defend your use of it, but you could have just hired an animator. It's lazy and it's immoral regardless of having licensed content. If that's the path you want to walk then no one should buy this game or others you produce. If you wont respect the work of artists who makes games possible, why should we respect your work? Games are art, the sum of many arts. Not that you devs would know, that much is clear. I had high hopes for this game, but you dashed them on every level. This title can walk down washout lane. It's a shadow of the glory it had during launch days. The devs are clearly just twisting in the wind.
Dead cashgrab
They had 16k initial online momentum and somehow decided that the smart move was not, you know, working on the actual game. More guns? QoL? Balance? Performance? Nah. Better update the engine mid-season to "get a better picture". And you know exactly where this is going. Even more lag. People who could barely play on release were suddenly not even able to load in. Low FPS killed players faster than top-tier bugs. Clipping bugs, terrible terrain, software bugs, server issues - we tried our best, but the devs doubled down and called it "rebalance". Translation: imitate progress and wipe everyone's ranks. Was the wipe necessary because they added twice as much content, new guns, new mods, new items? Ha ha, joke's on you. They took content designed in EA for 3 classes and 5 (?) guns, split it into 6 classes, and somehow added no guns and no items. Then they increased EXP requirements, because apparently some genius looked at Starship Troopers and thought: "Yes, what this needs is Excel MMO progression." We are not DOING OUR PART because we want 0.0001% progress toward that sweet rocket launcher. We were doing our part because the game was stupid fun. That was the entire point. At this point they can start selling DLCs with new weapons. Hell, why not? Could not be worse. We could have had another Lethal Company or Magicka. Instead we got a 15 FPS "serious" tryhard demo with worse progression and less fun. P.S. Joke's on me, they are really selling DLC below, on a $15 game. Ahahaha. Rofl. Just ignore this dead game and play real DEMOCRACY.
Had potential at first, but now it's leaned into low effort content and AI slop.
♥♥♥♥ servers bad optimization and weird balancing of content and adding new content without optimizing the old
This game was great at first but they have ruined it. Firstly the game ran better at launch compared to now. The game just constantly crashes on both singleplayer and multiplayer. 2 years worth of updates and its only gotten worse. I keep coming back hoping something has changed but it never does unfortunately. The devs seem more focused on adding things than they do fixing the issues they already have. The amount of problems I've had its just not worth it in my opinion. I'm not crapping on the game entirely however. When the game does work properly (Maybe 20% of the time) its fun and i do enjoy it. I really hope the devs decide to pull there heads out of whatever puddle they have it in and fix the game so its actually playable. I'm sorry but I'm not able to recommend something so broken in its current state.
Tough sell... I like the movie a lot, and this looked interesting. But in reality, this game feels like an early-access game. It's simply unpolished and has bugs (No pun intended) -The single player mode, albeit understandably simple, really just feels like mobile game quality. They're short and overly simplistic. I understand the meat of the game is the multiplayer, but this ain't it. -Mission 15 kept making my game crash to desktop, so I could not progress the single player missions anymore. -Menu's are buggy, suddenly keep booting me into the main menu when backing out of a menu during class customization. -Visual customization is absolutely bare bones. -Visual glitches in customization -Guns and player model look low-poly in the menus. (look just fine during gameplay) -Ally and enemy AI are terrible, often just standing still doing nothing -All SP missions so far pretty much take place in the same looking cave systems -Game looks noticably worse than in the screenshots -Changing your loadout's gun, and then swapping back to an old gun makes the game forget all the attatchments you had on that gun. So you have to re-customize your gun EVERY TIME if you choose to put it back in your loadout again. This is just pathetic... Game design 101 when creating loadout and gun customization... -Multiplayer, albeit a bit better, has some good chaos, but also some bad chaos, and it feels like everyone is running around like a headless chicken doing their own thing -Shooting bugs most often feels way less impactful and satisfying than you'd hope for I really want to like this game, but I just can't. There's a good base foundation here, and it could have had great potential. But this really should have just been an early access game. I'm not going to play this anymore unless I actually hear that all of these massive issues were to get fixed, but I doubt it...
Bought it after release. It's been through some rough patches but it's getting better and better. I think the dev team is quite small and it takes time for them to "smash the bugs" and improve the game. It's a fun game. There are several gamemodes, although I think the most liked ones are ARC defense and Horde. If you want something that doesn't require too much tactical thinking you can jump in and just shoot the bugs as they come. You get a nice selection of weapons for that. Althout it can be played mindlessly, it's always better when people play together, help each other, especially the important classes like Medics and Engineers. Now that Marauders are also in the game, additional teamplay is also needed to keep them repaired and resupplied so their operators don't have to get out and load the machines themselves. But I think it's not a huge thing to ask, if you see a Marauder dishing out hate towards the bugs to just grab some ammo and resupply it. They are still tinkering (as of April 2026) with Arachnid numbers and what the servers can take which means you may encounter severe lag spikes. I don't really know what's the actual reason behind them because in one game it's awful then the other is smooth as butter. But if you experience lagging bugs, just look at your ping, if it's fine then the problem is not on your end. If the lag bothers you too much, join another session or wait until the next map rotation (every hour) and most of the time the lag will stop. PC specs are not too high, there were some optimization issues before, but nowadays it runs pretty well on my 7 years old potato pc. Tinkering with the settings might be needed if you play on older system. Wait time is on the longer side depending on when you play, it can regularly take up to 5 minutes to put you into a game, but it's worth the wait in my opinion. So yeah, recommended. Also, don't forget: "Service guarantees citizenship." :)
I like that it's a different 'grunt fantasy' from games like Helldivers. instead of small teams of 'elite' troopers, you are a true grunt, reliant on a large number of allied players to both succeed in the missions and keep you alive. It's very 'the floor is lava', if you haven't unlocked the skills and abilities to be on the ground, you better be up high, or you're just another dead trooper. :)
