Stupid fun, just moving at super speeds around the map doing random platforming. Story felt a little confusing but was still good. Music was great.
Un juego de Sonic diferente y agradable de jugar. El platino es asequible.
Its so peak
This is probably the best sonic game to come out in years. Even long after its release, I still look back on this game as a major stepping stone. Is it a perfect game? No. Does it have technical issues? Yes. But this is a serious step forward for sonic games in the future. If SEGA continues to evolve this formula, I believe they are in the running for some of the best Sonic gameplay we've ever had. Again, this isn't a perfect game. There are some aspects of it that make me feel like it's a tech demo, but especially after the hand-full of content updates after launch, this is a seriously fun game, with some of the best boss fights in the franchise's history. Honestly, there are only a few problems I cant think of with this game: - Platform pop-in is atrocious. They nuked the engine's draw capabilities so that the game can run on the switch, and you can feel it. I really wish they would just have a third party dev make a game for a weaker console, but this is the nature of the industry at the moment: develop for the lowest common denominator, and when this came out, it was the switch. - The original final boss was a serious let-down. Especially after how good all the others were, it really threw me off, and I'm glad the Final Horizon DLC added a completely different final boss that quickly become my favorite boss fight in the franchise. - The controls can be extremely stiff at times. Especially in cyberspace levels, however these controls are pretty much entirely changeable through in game sliders that can change your turning radius, acceleration, deceleration, etc. This isn't really a problem, as much as it feels like an extra hurdle I have to take as a player to make sonic control the way I want him to. - The open zones felt like asset-flips. I'm not saying they ARE asset-flips, but I wish the open zones were more like a playground for Sonic's moveset, rather than just a normal world with normal terrain features. Sometimes I just want to blast through some loops, go up and down ramps, almost like a skatepark. Something similar to the Sonic Utopia fangame, but hopefully this type of stuff can show up more in future iterations on this design. Overall, this was a great game. I loved it. Still come back to it consistently just to vibe and especially to replay the bossfights. I hope we see more things like this in the future of the franchise.
Playing as Sonic never felt so good
