Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.14/day in the week to Aug 14 → 6.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

As a guy who likes Persona I know I have no room to talk. But Oh My God, this game needs to CHILL with the pop up tutorials, its BAD. What makes it worse is for whatever godforsaken reason there is a 1 second delay with EVERY SINGLE popup, every menu even. For a character who's entire point is to go fast, the game loves to slow you down at every opportunity to explain the most basic common game mechanics. But I can tell there's an okay game here, its just so frustrating for absolutely no reason.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This game may or may not have an explanation for one of the biggest lore drops in Sonic history.
i cried 8/10
Could not even finish the game (on the 4th world mobs that are necessary to climb a tower do not respawn, even with reloads, restarts, death resets, etc...). Otherwise feels half-baked and badly tested in many aspects. Forced camera is terrible in some places, difficulty widely imballanced, some design decisions (rings are not reset after boss battle loss? You have to save before the battle, quit the game and load from save instead). Could have been a nice experience, even if half as short, but the lack of testing made it into my #1 most infuriating game.
Frontiers is a game I enjoyed very much, despite it's flaws. It's a game that sets a formula and gameplay style that if given more time in the oven could result in the best 3D Sonic gameplay seen to date, but what we have here is solid enough to be considered good, not great, but good and with very high peaks. It's a game that is clearly unpolished and rushed in many areas, which can be seen with the pop-in in the overworld, the lackluster animation in the optional cutscenes, the physics sometimes doing very weird things depending on the terrain, the re-use of old level designs for most cyberspace levels, having some issues with doing specific special combat moves while platforming due to their button mapping, having the last 2 islands clearly be cut content from the first one, and having a very underwheling final boss (Tho, they did make a new one for the free DLC). Despite that, what the game does well is enough to not at all make me regret the time I spent with it, especially with all the free updates and additions they made post-launch. Running around the islands, collecting things, exploring, listening to the amazing soundtrack, seeing more of the surprisingly well written story, and leveling up to get cool new moves was always fun enough to keep me going. It's a simple gameplay loop, and it does get somewhat repetitive at points, but nevertheless enjoyable for what it is. My favorite parts were the optional challenges that were legit challenging and therefore engaging, and the incredibly hype boss battles at the end of every island. I will say, if you're into the modding scene, this game benefits quite a bit from it. It's not a case like Colors Ultimate or Origins where modding it is basically required to get a proper game, but some of the flaws I've mentioned do get ironed out and allow for an even better experience. My recommendations are the Vanilla+ and Island Tweaker mods, as they do a lot to improve many aspects, but the most notable are lessening the pop-in and re-tooling animations and physics to greately enhance gamefeel. Given the price it's at now, I say the game is more than worth it. I avoided it for quite a while due to not having much faith in Sonic for the last few years and came out pleasantly surprised. Here's hoping this is just the beginning of even better things to come.
so peak 10/10
good game doesnt run on a laptop at all
This game is definitely in my top 3 sonic games of all time, i love this game to pieces and the music to this game is on a WHOLE OTHER LEVEL, and the story? Absolutely beautiful. This game deserves a round of applause.
