Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.14/day in the week to Sep 11 → 42.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

My Grandfather says its good
tough enemies, you must think like a sniper to avoid being found, use cover, keep your distance and be careful of persistent enemies hunting you down. Multiple paths to achieve objectives, plenty of resupply and medical help, good graphics and story line.
Short Review:
5/10 overall. I half-heartedly enjoyed this game, and would say it’s maybe worth getting if on sale. If you enjoyed SE4 and want to play more of the same, but slightly worse, then get this. I have fond memories of SE4, but SE5 doesn’t leave a lasting impression. Nothing has really changed or improved, just the maps, and even they are more drab and grey compared to SE4's Italy. I don't normally write reviews, but this game frustrated me so much that I decided to rant in more detail...
More Details:
Cons - Not truly open world, and far too many invisible walls, which results in a constant feeling of the game trying to hold your hand. On Mission 2, there are small outcrops of rock at the start of the map that could be climbed onto to gain a high vantage/scouting point, but the game physically doesn’t allow this. Realistically, you should be able to just walk onto these. On Mission 1, there are entire fields and woodland areas that look accessible, but are not. This means you’re trying to plan moves and escape routes (in the dark), but instead you’’re funnelled into a tight corridor and easily killed. Mission 4 has huge gaps between train cars that you should be able to duck under to avoid enemies, but can’t. - SE4 had beautifully crafted Italian maps, that gave you excellent high vantage points to scout the map and highlight enemies and objects, and plan your approach. SE5 doesn’t feel like that. Mission 1 is at night, and has a very disorienting feel, with many invisible walls. This is a terrible introduction to the game, and something that turned me off the first time I tried to play 6 months ago. - Story and dialogue are cheesy and silly (‘Murica!) like out of a B-movie, but this has always been the case for this series. Carl is just as one dimensional and dull as the other games. - AI behaviour is pretty dumb, making it a bit too easy. I wanted to play on Hard difficulty, so I would be forced to use stealth more, but it’s so easy to go in guns blazing. Just make sure you’re in a dead-end room with cover, and they’ll run around in circles outside the building, wondering how to get you out. Additionally, you can get into a full blown firefight and blow up a tank, and a couple of guards 200m away will not bat an eyelid. If a tank explodes, it should be enough noise to bring down the entire map on you. - Distractions don’t seem to work. I whistled to an enemy about 10 meters away, trying to get him to come search for me, and he completely ignored the sound. Somehow they can hear you running 30m away, but ignore your whistle 10m away? - Movement mechanics are very clunky. It's almost as bad as the GTA games. For stealth and sneaking around, it's mostly okay, but if you're in a heavy firefight (e.g. Survival mode), then the clunkiness can get you killed. I had a mortar strike trained on my position, tried to make a quick getaway out a window, and what happens? I move the stick forward, Karl jumps out a window (slowly), then he hangs on the side of the window, I push forward again, he jumps back inside the hut. Totally counter-intuitive. In most other games in this genre, I could've used those 3-4 seconds to leap out and sprint away. Pros (or rather, things that are the same as SE4): - Graphics are still nice, and the maps have a lot of visual detail that really give you an immersive feeling of WW2 France. Mont Saint Michel is especially nice, and actually feels life-size. - Gameplay is exactly the same, with a few updates like skill points and more weapon mods. - Mission 3 has a nice map that feels really big and detailed. You don’t notice the invisible walls here because the geography acts as natural barriers. - Survival mode is back and is quite fun.
amazing game
If you like Sniper Elite 4, you'll like Sniper Elite 5. I can nitpick reasons I think SE4 is better, but it's basically the exact same game - and I mean that in a good way.
