Sneaky Bears - Only YOU can stop the bear invasion!
Sneaky Bears has a ton of character and is more than your average wave-based shooter. Armed with a nerf gun and a shotgun you must stop the evil overlord teddy bear, Frank, and his army of cute, fluffy minions from world domination. You are not alone in this quest, the brown teddy bears have decided to split from the panda’s and one of the pandas are there to help you. As starting summaries of a game review go that has to be one of the weirdest I have written! The game features 3 unique modes, the main one being survival where you defend yourself and your new panda friend from waves of cute teddies who I assume are trying to cuddle me. Then there is fire mode where in addition to bears intent on cuddling me you also have fires. Not to fear though, your shotgun is replaced by a water cannon. Finally, there is bomb mode, can you freeze the bombs before the conveyor of doom delivers them to your panda buds? ROOMSCALE / ENVIRONMENT / GRAPHICS Graphics seem to be getting better and better these days. Sneaky Bears has detailed environments with good graphics. All the levels I have seen thus far have been perfectly made and clear thought has gone into where the bears and targets spawn. I was also impressed by the way the big screen the head bear talks to you from looks, I swear the image on it had a 3d look, could be a trick of the eyes but if not it is a very nice touch taking advantage of the tech we are using. Frank himself is beautifully voice acted with just that right hint of maniacal evil in his voice. A “good” bad guy in a game is always a plus and here the team have nailed it! The lack of blood and gore also meant this would make for a good game for younger folk too (though not too young as there is talk of how people are made into soup) There is no locomotion which does work well in this game as the bears come to you. One of the major pitfalls in games of this nature is to have enemies appear behind the player. Something that is not good when you are tethered to a computer and I am glad to say the developer avoided this pitfall, our cables thank you developers! PERFORMANCE I have had absolutely no issues with the performance, even when doing the first try video which requires a lot from my system. Very impressive given the detail in the levels. INTUITIVENESS Everything is made clear to you, I am not a fan of how you hold the guns but it is made clear how to do that. Very intuitive game. PROS:

A “good” bad guy(well ok a “good” bad bear :) ) who is very well voice acted.
Well thought out level design.
Cute family friendly atmosphere (though some dialogue lines may be unsuited to very small ears)
High score tables that ensure you will always want to try a level again, with local tables as well as global.
The 3 game modes provide a bit of variety.
Very low price for the quality level of the game.
CONS:

Holding the guns could be done better, I personally would love to see a more dynamic approach, quick tap toggles or hold the button for how it is now.
Vr is rather saturated with wave based shooters. That said I do feel this is one of the better ones.
The first try video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zwRtl9TDMY VERDICT We are starting to see more improved VR games and this is a good example of that. Although many will immediately discount Sneaky Bears when they see it is a wave-based shooter they will be robbing themselves of a fun game. I have thoroughly enjoyed my test sessions of the game and can see this game being added to my “just for fun” game rotation. So yes I do recommend it.
This is by far my favorite wave shooter for VR out there. The tracking is amazing. And it is hilarious - I found myself laughing out loud several times. This has been the first VR game I have shown some of my friends and they have loved it too and were able to jump right in. Overall this game is so charming and cute, I love the puns, I love the fast gameplay. While the first play through may be short, I found myself playing even longer trying to get high scores. I will definitely be going back to try to get more global high scores. This game is definitely worth 14.99 and I would recommend you all to buy it!
This game is a ton of fun and well worth the $6 it costs. (edit: I reviewed this when I paid $6, the price is now $15) The Steam demo makes it look boring and flat but it's addictive and fun. The in-game graphics are so much better than the screenshots. (edit: This is a "wave" shooter game. You may take a couple steps in either direction, but out of bounds is close.) There are three main enviroments, survival mode, put out fires mode, and freeze ray the bombs mode. Each enviroment has multiple levels each getting progressively harder. The first one is too easy which is great for training, the second one is harder but still fun, 3 and higher get really challenging. The teddy bear jokes are clever and funny, but they need a few more. What I don't like: It can be a little glitchy, but less so than other games I've played. You get two pistols, one for each hip. Instead of reloading your pistol you drop it and grab a new one off of your belt. You get unlimited pistols and this is their version of reloading. Sometimes you can't drop the pistol which means you can't reload (grab a new one). Also when you run out of ammo you're encouraged to throw your pistol at an evil teddy bear, and when I try to it often locks the pistol to my hand causing the reload glitch. There is a swear word or two making it less cool for your younger ones. I highly recomend trying this inexpensive game.
What a great little game, so much fun to play! I think it really stands out among the bog-standard VR wave shooters out there. Really challenging without being impossible! Frank is the man!
Very fun game, only bad thing is it's short, but high replay value going for high score, worth $15 without a doubt, keep it up warducks
Gameplay: https://youtu.be/kt-FbYRfHXQ This is a VR FPS game in which you take on evil enemy teddy bears. There are three different environments, with a variety of fun guns such as a freezing gun, and different distractions that you must keep under control whilst killing oncoming teddy bears, with the aim of achieving a high enough score to ultimately unlock a final boss level. There are global scoreboards too so there is a competitive element to the game. The game is well designed and has character due to the funny jokes made by your arch nemesis, an evil Donald Trump style bear named Fred. The game works well, and is fun as a casual arcade style wave shooter (as opposed to an intense FPS). It may be a little overpriced though considering it’s replay value.
This is an awesome game. The bears are funny, and the different methods of defeating them make it more than just a stationary shooter.
Nicely done. Not much content, but the little there is (for about 1-3 hours) is flawless and charming.
2 Minute Video Review → https://youtu.be/qdjfBmetU9U At first I thought this game would be easy, I was wrong. Around level 4 the action is intense, and I barely survived each level in Easy Mode. Hard mode must be truly insane. If you're looking for a challenging shooter, definitely check this out.
