Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Scanner Sombre is a tense 3d horror cave exploration game where oppressive darkness becomes your greatest enemy. The silence, broken only by echoes and hesitant footsteps, builds chilling tension, while the unseen unknown keeps you on edge. Blending psychological horror with discovery, it challenges you to navigate a hidden world lit by a LIDAR scanner. From the creators of Prison Architect, this immersive adventure uses light and shadow to craft a hauntingly beautiful yet terrifying experience.

In Scanner Sombre, the LIDAR scanner is your lifeline. Armed with this innovative tool, you reveal the unseen by casting light into the abyss, slowly mapping the cave around you. As the silence presses in, and shadows twist, the scanner’s color-coded beams uncover hidden dangers and untold mysteries lurking in the dark.

Scanner Sombre features a striking visual style built around vibrant, rainbow-colored point clouds, inspired by industrial LIDAR scans. Players use a handheld scanner to gradually reveal the environment, with color-coded points helping to perceive depth. This distinctive, inhuman aesthetic creates an eerie atmosphere and enhances the exploration experience.

In Scanner Sombre, the story unfolds subtly through the environment, with hints of forgotten histories hidden within the cave. As you explore, remnants of the past, strange symbols, and eerie remnants suggest a deeper, darker narrative. Each step forward invites you to unravel the mysteries bit by bit.

At a casual pace with breaks, I played it start to finish in 2.5 hours. The way I'd describe this is novelty. The scanner is very cool but there is nothing else to it. If this was a free game on itch.io, I'd call it amazing. But at the price of 6.99, I could have gotten a sub sandwich and would have preferred that. There is no interactability in the environment, no monsters to chase you around, no end game content, no puzzles, no combat. A walking sim with extra steps that relies on the novelty of the scanner and the writing. That said, I don't hate it and feel bad giving it a thumbs down but it's just not worth it to me. I genuinely hope they take this game as a proof of concept and expand on it.
Scanner Sombre

[th]VR🥽[/th]

Nota: 8/10

🎮🌵Más reseñas en mi mentor🌵🎮

A game that's hauntingly beautiful. It's really easy to lose track of the fact that it's a kinda scary game because of just how pretty it is. I loved walking around and blasting dots to map out the cave walls. Gorgeous.
Well that was interesting. Something about the way the visuals are in this game makes it both beautiful and horrifying. It has an eerie atmosphere and makes you feel uneasy about exploring with glitches and audio that makes you feel like you are somewhere you shouldn't be. I wasnt expecting the story and I wasn't expecting where it went but it was good. I really enjoyed this and if you have a little time to spare, I think its worth checking out.
Very strange. The gameplay is unique and if you like the aspect of exploring a completely dark cave by shooting coloured lights at the walls, then this is for you. Don't go into this game expecting an interesting story or character progression. It's a recommendation from me because of the novel gameplay/gimmick, but I'm absolutely confused why the story is *this* lazy.
Scanner Sombre is the type of game that reminds you where the real creativity in the industry resides. Its novel premise of using a LIDAR scanner to highlight paths inside a pitch-black cave is enriched by a surprisingly emotional score and narrative underpinning. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
A VR experience with stunning visuals but almost no gameplay. Note: If your controls don't work, try turning on the beta version in the game settings on Steam.
Original idea. But boring.
I decided to finish it because it's a short game, but it's just yet another overwrought narrative game about a straight man tortured by his own actions. I really like the LIDAR gimmick (though not the 'material' mode) but the rest of the game just isn't engaging or tonally consistent. As I moved through the clearly lived in spaces, my character saying/thinking "I can't believe I was the first one here" while looking at statues and furniture is ridiculous and totally pulled me out of the narrative, which is most of the game. There were certainly a few spooky moments towards the start that worked well but then they had to layer on exposition about cultists, monks, witch trials and industrial negligence, most of which can be inferred from the environment. To top it off, the music choices were poor. There's nothing sombre about Epic Gamer Action Hero music playing while you ride an elevator. 2/5 maybe, just for the LIDAR stuff, but it could have been a tech demo with no narrative or music and been better.
