流程很短的增量游戏,砍树采矿升级,然后更快的采矿,目前没有中文,但不影响游玩,增量的爽点是有的,就是和市面上大多数增量游戏差不多,没有明显特色。
Another short incremental game completed! There was good progression and no moments where I felt bored. There weren't a lot of new concepts, but the giant flashing numbers was good enough for me. I have a big pet peeve about using apostrophes properly, so "The Blazing Birch's" really grinded my gears, especially since everything else used apostrophes properly. Recommend if you like cute lil' incremental games. Finished? Yes Steam Achievements? Easy Steam Deck? The Eternal Woods is a short incremental game with beautiful colorful and psychedelic visuals and nice music. It's a game that gets faster and more frantic as the intensity escalates. It's a pure dopamine ride. The whole game took me 2 hours, so keep that it mind. It could be a little longer, but I do appreciate that the end game gets faster rather than slowing to a grind like some incremental games.
A genre gem that avoids frustration by using a very nice loop mechanic AND by automatically removing completed biomes from said loop. The screen quickly becomes cluttered, but lumberjack bees provide vital aid and are well-drawn, like the rest of the colorful pixel art. Start chopping!

Pros: - Original soundtrack. - Game aesthetics. - Organic skill tree upgrade that doesn't feel like a stretch. - Game is made to be fun, not to be extended so you can't ask for a refund after 2 hours. Cons: - Sound mixing feels slightly off; even with volume sliders adjusted, background music stays lower than other effects. (More about the pros and cons in the in-depth review part below)
Should You Buy This Game?
Yes. If you want a short and very nice experience with an incremental game just buy it without a second thought. The experience playing it is very fun and although it's short, you can see there is a lot of effort and care by the dev.
In-Depth Review

Visuals
I have to say that I love the pixel art and overall aesthetics in this game. What really sold me was seeing that for each biome you had a different set of clothes and weapon for your character, this is something most games (especially incremental games) just skip over. So each biome you visit felt refreshing and new, making it very interesting.
Soundtrack
They have their own soundtrack, that's already a win. Instead of using royalty-free music the developer actually cared enough to hire a composer to make a track fitting for the game. And it matches the game very well, making the experience much better than having lo-fi in the background. The only caveat is what I mentioned before, the mixing feels a bit off. But I believe the dev can fix it really easily.
The Game
The basic gameplay loop is chopping and chopping and chopping and then chopping some more until you clear out the map. Once you clear it the map refreshes with a new biome (if you unlocked it) and you clear it again looping until your timer runs out. At the beginning you will be able to just chop a bit here and there but the more you invest in your skill tree the longer you can spend on the map farming resources and getting even stronger. Each biome has a level system and once you reach a level mark you will obtain a piece of heart of that biome. Once you obtain it, the map gets bigger and with more resources, and this will repeat until you collect that biome's heart. Once you collect it the biome disappears and the resources you could get there will be available in other biomes. And this goes until you beat the game.
Conclusion
I really enjoyed how the dev made this game structure. I will mention the biome mechanic again, it is simple but makes the late game grind so good, it's seriously rewarding to complete everything. I beat this game in around 1 hour and 40 minutes and could still get a refund. The dev didn't pad the runtime or turn it into an idle game. They just made something fun and believed in it. And this is so rare to see in this genre. So just buy it and support them, they deserve it and it's worth your time!
This is a short and sweet game that gets more satisfying when you get closer to the end, at some point i didn't even see my own character anymore lol The ending is also very well done and you are able to unlock everything before the game is finished! At last, the soundtrack is amazing! I reccomend this game for people who just want to relax, shut their brain off and only have a few hours to spare
Finished the game in around 90 minutes. A short fun little break from what ever you might be doing.
Kurzweilig und befriedigend.
10/10 no notes
£2.12 for nearly 3 hours fun, nearly as good a deal as what I offer the boys down the docks
