Sinking Island

I really enjoyed this point-and-click game. For an older title, it looks stunning. I loved the characters, and the game maintained a great atmosphere throughout. The story kept me guessing until the end. Great voice acting. It has a fantastic setting, a huge tower on an island during a storm of the century, I found it captivating and loved how the tower changed as the story progressed.It also has a food and sleep cycle built in which was interesting. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging, as they required linking different pieces of evidence and finding some hard to locate items. A hotspot button would have been helpful, as I found myself relying on a lot of trial and error. Overall, I strongly recommend it; it’s a classic of the genre.

Доброго дня) Пройшов детектив Sinking Island 2007 року! Оце так-так!) Купа доказів, свідчень і треба обрати правильні щоб знайти злочинця! Гра постійно дивує. Заплутана історія, але який кайф, що я пройшов цю гру сам, без пошуку у Інеті! Думаєте легко?) Спробуйте пройти 🙂 Якщо любите детективи-грайте обов'язково!) Автор сюжету такий же як і в Сайберії-Бенуа Сокаль. Він помер декілька років тому. Але в його ігри грають) Дякую всій команді. P.S. Було б супер грати українською!

A point and click detective game that embroils you into the affairs of the Jones family as you are summoned to a tropical island, in the middle of nowhere, right before a hurricane hits. As the story progresses you find that it's NOT only the foundation of the tower that's crumbling and falling apart. Greed, Lust, Revenge, Murder, Jealousy, Gambling, sexual affairs, and the rampant desires of an 89 Yr old man for a 20 yr old island girl add to this sordid tale. You will have to use your wits and gather clues, statements of the eleven people stuck on the island, all of whom could be responsible for MURDER! Gather material evidence and sort through the lies, and backstabbing as you try to weave your way towards the responsible party. The story-line for this game is exceptional, it is a classic, guess and then guess again who-done-it. The Artwork for the island and the sound effects of the the tower, which you end up stranded in, falling apart is atmospheric and in its own way, kind of scary. The only REAL issues I have with this game is the character movement animation especially during the conversations, and there is an absolute ton of them, you'll have to talk to every character AT LEAST five or six times. Their movement action animations during these, some overly long conversations, is not only limited, it's highly repetetive. The OTHER main, EVEN bigger issue is, with the speech animation movement of the mouth during speaking/conversation close-ups. The problem is that in SOME versions (it might only be the English Language version) the mouths don't move at all whilst in conversation close-ups. There is a file that has been share in the one of the "Sinking Island" community walkthroughs, that fixes this problem, kind of. The fact that this game WAS published WITH the existance of this problem without proper play testing and correction of the problem shows a lack of developer professionalism, especially for a PAID game.

A great game

Już po tylu latach zapomniałem jaka to jest toporna kupa. Nieintuicyjne menu, upieeerdliwe sterowanie cutscenki, bieda ogólnie wylewająca się z ekranu przyćmiewa scenariusz niestety.

Naprawdę spędziłem trochę czasu fajnie się bawiąc. Dźwięki oraz grafika! Słychać, że to ręka mistrza. Lekki klimat grozy, grafika która nadaje klimatu i nie jest idealna. Gra trzyma w napięciu i powoduje momentami niezły mętlik wskazując innych sprawców. Na pewno każdy to przejdzie tą grę to będzie zadowolony z zakończenia! Jest też pewny ukryty sekret rodziny pod koniec który warto odkryć!

Порівняно з серіалом "Кармеліта" гра має неабиякий сюжет . Але ж як бісить те що ти можеш просто не побачити якийсь доказ причетності . Якби я побачив цю гру при її виході , то був би приємно здивований . Перевірку часом провалено

Ce jeu n'est pas complètement dénué d'intérêt mais les allers retours incessants entre l'intérieur et l'extérieur de la tour, puis entre les différents étages, sont lassants. Il y a quand même de bonnes énigmes à résoudre mais, pour un jeu de Benoit Sokal, on reste déçu.
