Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Your chosen leader will endure across the Ages, with a unique ability that can help reinforce or pivot your strategy from one Age into the next. For the first time in franchise history, leader selection is separate from your civilization, giving you the freedom to create all-new strategies by mixing and matching gameplay bonuses.
EXPLORE A WORLD VIVIDLY BROUGHT TO LIFE
Make your mark on a gorgeously detailed world! Your empire comes to life with a diverse range of cultural styles, represented across building architecture and Unit design. Reviews
It's a downgrade in comparison to the previous versions.
I’ve been playing Civilization since the original, back when “one more turn” meant accidentally staying up until sunrise. I’ve survived every redesign, every experiment, every questionable mechanic. I’ve adapted. I’ve enjoyed. I’ve believed. So imagine my surprise when I boot up the newest Civilization and discover… Humankind wearing a Civ Halloween costume. The terrain? Humankind. The city mechanics? Humankind. The eras? Humankind. The leaders? Humankind, but somehow less personality. It’s almost impressive — not the game, but the commitment to copying. Why would the market leader in 4X decide, “Hey, instead of building on decades of success, let’s carbon‑copy the underdog”? Bold strategy. Can’t wait to see how that plays out. I put in about 10 hours trying to convince myself this was Civ. Spoiler: it wasn’t. The magic is gone. The charm is gone. The “one more turn” feeling? Missing, presumed dead. What’s left is a bland, generic strategy game that somehow manages to feel like a knockoff of a game I already own. And then there’s the short modern era. Because nothing says “premium experience” like removing an entire era and leaving players to guess which future DLC pack will sell it back to them. Truly visionary. If you’re looking for Civilization, keep looking. If you’re looking for Humankind, congratulations — you already bought it once.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 18: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Of the 6 markets with a position on both sides, 4 climbed and 2 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've been playing Civilization since Civ 1 with probably a lot more than 5,000 hours throughout the series. Civ 7 is broken, conceptually broken. They felt threatened by Humankind, and lost the plot (literally) by trying to copy it. In a way that clearly shows the people involved did not agreed or truly believed in it. The game shows it, you can feel that disagreement, and the Test of Time is the final proof. A huge disappointment. Go play Humankind instead, or Civ 6.
Genuinely bad, finally the death of the Civ series. Changes in gameplay are not improvements, just shows how genuinely out of touch Civ has become in terms of what people actually want. It's a confused mess that looks like some newly graduated junior dev's wet dream of profiling themselves by being "disruptive", not understanding that a bad idea is a bad idea even if it's "new" (not really). Just a complete loss of identity and direction, trying half-heartedly to be Crusader Kings while failing to see what people loved about the Civ games. Genuinely upset I gave this trash a chance instead of just refunding it anyway. Not a mistake I'll make again with this series.
pathetic
Bad game. They've really tarnished this franchise with this release.
Worst Civ game ever, Wish I had never bought it. Absolute rubbish
I spent 130$ on the "founders edition." What a huge rip off. I've supported and enjoyed Civ since Civ 4. I put 700 hours into Civ 6 before first expansion even dropped. People say Civ 7 launched as a beta. I disagree, it launched as an alpha. Test of time update brings the game to about an open beta level for me. Meanwhile I paid so much extra money for minimal content added on top of a lackluster game. They have now introduced Brush and Blade Collection. A $30 DLC collection of civs, when the core game still needs so much improvement. There are so many other amazing games these days this will be my final Civ game. I will always have an older civ game to go back to when I want to experience One More Turn and remember what this company used to be.
Tut mir leid. Wirklich. Es tut fast weh, das zu schreiben.
Been playing Civ since the 90's. Superfan of the whole series of games. Civilization VII is awful. Completely out of balance. The mechanics are frustrating. Not fun or enjoyable at all. Probably one of the most annoying games I've ever played and I came into this one already a huge advocate of the franchise. This game would require a giant overhaul and all Firaxis has done is push out more useless, overpriced DLC's. Total money grab and not worth the time. Really sorry to write a negative review, but you guys used to be more interested in listening to the fans and building a great game. Not sure what happened...
