Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Across the Antiquity, Exploration, and Modern Ages, choose whether to lead one Time-Tested civilization from start to finish, have it strategically evolve to flourish with a new identity in the next Age, or split the difference through hybridization. As accomplishing scientific, cultural, militaristic, and economic milestones within each Age unlocks advantages in the next, you'll decide how and when your empire's identity and strategy develop.
CHART YOUR OWN PATH TO VICTORY
Shape your empire's unique story by pursuing a wide range of distinct Triumphs, attribute-based objectives that offer a player-driven experience. As each new Age expands the game's scope, it also brings opportunities to borrow elements from other civs, unlock new bonuses, and achieve Victory in myriad new and exciting ways. Order Commanders to move armies as one, engage enemies with revamped combat mechanics, equip swappable leader bonuses across campaigns with Mementos, and much more.
PLAY AS VISIONARY LEADERS OF PROGRESS
Embody illustrious leaders with one of Civilization's most diverse rosters yet, from traditional heads of state known for militaristic might or political prowess to visionaries who made lasting impacts on philosophy, science, human rights, and more. Your chosen leader will endure across the Ages, with a unique ability that can help reinforce or pivot your strategy from one Age into the next. For the first time in franchise history, leader selection is separate from your civilization, giving you the freedom to create all-new strategies by mixing and matching gameplay bonuses.
EXPLORE A WORLD VIVIDLY BROUGHT TO LIFE
Make your mark on a gorgeously detailed world! Your empire comes to life with a diverse range of cultural styles, represented across building architecture and Unit design. Civ VII has been a mess from its very launch. Recent and major updates have tried to correct the game into a somewhat playable version of the Civ we all love, but the truth is that Civ VII is the worst iteration of the game ever released. I only play it because I paid the money and I don't have time to research a better turn-based civilization building style game. Unless you are a loyal, must-play Civ player, this is NOT the version to start with.
I've got over 9000hrs on Civ 5 and Civ 6, believe me Civ 7 has some way to go to catch up with the previous two. I have played all Civ games, right from the beginning and I have thoroughly enjoyed them all however Civ 7 is still to bitty, has that broken feel, not smooth, only my opinion. It saddens me to say that I currently can not recommend this game. I like change but.....I'm sure it'll get there.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Of the 6 markets with a position on both sides, 4 climbed and 2 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

good enough game but 30$ for 2 civs, xd out of your mind firaxis
I'll agree with many others - the game seems unfinished. There's no consolidated management views - no easy way to look across your cities or your troops. Combat mechanics are very clearly broken and buggy. Leaders and civs are wildly unbalanced, and many of the things that made older Civ games so charming - building the space ship, decorating the throne room, etc - are wholly absent.
They changed 1 setting and i bought the game. Its still not as good as any of the other games and hollow. Sync with other nations in tech/civic tree is odd and should be removed.
I really want to enjoy it, but it's just bland. Stacking a bunch of units on a commander just makes them a target and the fighting is dull. Building takes so long I have a hard time keeping track of what my goals were and I am often bored with the game before I finish the first era.
The fact that I bought the founders edition and I'm being charged £25 for a DLC that only adds a few new playable leaders and civs is quite frankly disgusting. In this economy, Firaxis do not care about taking you to the cleaners for your hard earned money whether you buy premium versions or not. The game is in a lot better state than it was on release, but it's still unpolished. Personally, I wouldn't recommend. Play Civ 6 instead.
Overall, this game has potential and after recent major gameplay related updates it is much better than it was in the beginning but damn... Bugs that hard to describe here and there and The Greed of 2K or Firaxis ruins it. Also, I believe when people have been saying that it has bad UI it is because sometimes there is some UI inconsistent behavior that is really hard to describe but it feels like it is not responsive when you select items / click, it feels like it was not designed for a mouse... Like UI / buttons have a bug that sometimes left clicks are not registered and it gives very bad impression, also please fix that after saving / loading custom rules presets the map / game seed value does not update itself, in CIV6 there is no such issue, also please add map search options. Also, this game does not launch after latest patch. Where's my "FOUNDERS" money gone, Firaxis... -_-. At this point, I just can't recommend this just yet... It is better than on the launch date but there is still A LOT to fix / add / improve, also for me it feels like there is still not enough strategic depth currently in the game. Wait for more major updates and some good discounts.
After a year, I still can't recommend. Over $100 and 300 hours in game, and the game still has numerous bugs and feels now like it's *almost* to the state that it should have been at a year ago. Instead of dropping another $30 DLC for Japan (which absolutely should have been in the base game) they need to fix the problems with the base game.
The game only got to an acceptable level and Firaxis immediately try to charge us £25 quid for a DLC which is a few new leaders and Civs... Pathetic. I bought the deluxe edition at launch and it may be the worst value I've ever gotten in buying a game. It got me a sub standard game that I would need to pay even more just to see if its even ok? Extremely disappointing game quality and outrageous pricing. It's an ok game now, but that's all.
