Shadows: Price For Our Sins

While I will say that it is a bit outdated. It's definitely at least a 3 0r 3.5 out of 5. It's okay and passable as an HOG. it won't wow you in the genre but it's an enjoyable play all throughout. I recommend if you are looking for an HOG to pass the time with an alright story. It has voice acting and cinematic. Has an okay hint system that does not use a hint unless it's directly to your next spot. Does not use up a hint between areas in guiding you. I will say one complaint I personally have is that some item placing is a bit off or very specific. Like on one area, you are meant to place a tiny mirror. It took me a few times to place it where it wanted on the object but eventually worked. Game is a bit jittery from the dated nature of the game. Could be at least 12 years as of writing this review.

Story was stupid and straight up painful at times but lets be honest, no one plays HOG for the story. The puzzles were okay. They did some interesting things to shake up some puzzles that you see in pretty much every HOG which made it interesting but I had to close out of the game after every cut scene or the next one would just be a black screen. If you get it for cheap on sale (like I did) then its an okay way to spend a few hours but if you are looking for the best HOGs have to offer, look pretty much anywhere else.

This is an oldie, but goodie game. Good story, with hard HO scenes and puzzle,s but admittedly kind of repetitive and a bit clunky, but not bad. Really, enjoyed it and found it kind of cheesy fun. I didn't play it on Halloween, but I can see this as a good October game. It's also long, so good bang for your buck. I think it's pretty fun if you don't mind old school HOPA with an interesting enough of a story.

This game was not great. I have played a lot of clickers, and this one falls short in a number of categories. There is only one voice actor, and she is terrible; while much of that can be chalked up to terrible writing, the voice actor did nothing to redeem this game. The story was paper thin and flat-out didn't make sense in some parts. There are no achievements either in game or on steam. Worst of all were the minigames. Many of the games were literally impossible to solve without a hint, and then when you click the "more info" question mark rather than a hint, it just gives you the answer - almost as if they know their puxxles are unsolvable with the information given. I don't say this often, but this one is not even worth a try.

Got this for little money in the Summer Sale '23 🌴 It's a nice hidden objects game, although unnecessarily long. I didn't really care about the story. There are better and worse games.

This was a really creepy, entertaining HO game. I enjoyed it a lot.

Yes, if you can tolerate or even like an over-the-top Gothic and fako-religious narrative. I think the art is fine, and the puzzles are OK; it's just that the plot relies too much on Gothic, supernatural themes, like all the dead family members you have to somehow reclaim through your good works. It's a plot that gets in the way of the game, as far as I am concerned. Oh, and there too many puzzles, in addition to hidden-object sequences. I finally got so bored with trying to make them work that I pressed the Skip button over and over.

Its diverse and is a cool game overall. Sadly some cinematic videos don't play and you only listen the audio in a black screen.
