Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts

About
Escape Simulator 2 is the sequel to the best-selling escape room game. With immersive new environments, deeper puzzles, and innovative builder tools, it’s the ultimate first person escape room experience.

Explore new locations crafted with the help of escape room experts and legendary community builders. Each room pack contains four rooms filled with intricate puzzles and hidden mysteries:
Dracula’s Castle: Step into the shadowy fortress, uncover its secrets, and free the town from a dark curse.
Starship EOS: An exploration vessel is stranded after a collision, forcing you to retrieve an energy source from a mysterious dark sphere.
The Cursed Treasure: Follow a cryptic map to a pirate island, overcome treacherous trials, and claim the ancient treasure.
With more content coming soon after the release!

The game is designed for both solo play and multiplayer with friends. Up to 8 players can join together online, with built-in voice and text chat for easy puzzle-solving communication.

When you step into Escape Simulator 2, we want it to feel like you’re walking into a real-life escape room. Every detail is designed for interactivity—you can pick up and examine objects, wipe away dirt, drive vehicles, take a seat wherever you like, and move anything that’s not bolted down.

Create your dream escape rooms with the updated Room Editor 2.0! After seeing over 4,000 rooms built in the first game, we’ve made the tools even more powerful and intuitive. The new lighting engine makes your rooms look more like the official rooms, the Building Editor lets you design rooms (with working stairs!), and you can bring everything to life with Sequence animations.

Why a sequel?
A sequel gives us a fresh start and lets us push the limits of the genre further. We were inspired to explore darker escape room themes and experiment with new gameplay and puzzle ideas. Splitting from the original game let us focus on improving key features like rendering, networking, physics, and animations.
Will Escape Simulator still get updates?
Yes! With the recent Mayan DLC and more content on the way, we’ll continue supporting the original game while expanding its reach to new platforms.
Is it scary?
While Escape Simulator 2 is darker and has a more mysterious vibe, it’s not a horror game. The game also doesn’t feature any jump scares or gore.

We’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas for Escape Simulator 2! We ❤️ our amazing community of escapers, puzzle solvers, and builders, so feel free to share your ideas on Discord or email us at: community@pinestudio.com!

和一个超级聪明的朋友玩,他能解决几乎所有的谜题。 为了给我一些游戏体验,他放慢脚步一边吃零食一边看我解谜。 通关之后,他胖了十斤。

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 3.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I still love ES 1 and if you're looking for a great escape game - buy it instead of ES 2. The second one just isn't fun. The puzzles are either way too easy or totally obscure and random. So even after reading the solution I'm lost what the actual explanation for it could be... Rooms like Dracula are so dark I had to crank up the brightness of my screen to the max just for a tiny hop of being able to see something. I gave up on finding the tokens very early on because unlike in the first game, they aren't hidden in cool spots or in a reasonable way but simply in dark corners you click randomly. Some levels actually gave me motion sickness cause the movement is so weird. There's some blatant use of AI without it being mentioned anywhere. I was really looking forward to this game. Played the first levels, waited for updates and fixes and then gave it another try after a couple of months. Unfortunately my first impression still stands. I hope the devs will see this and maybe take a hint that the community doesn't seem to be very happy with the use of AI. The first one is still one of my favourite comfy games by far.
я люблю квест-румы, я хочу вылизывать квест-румы, если бы я могла - я бы стала квест-румой
After having an absolute blast playing the first game with a friend, getting every achievement and finishing every DLC I'm sad to say how disappointed I am... The potential was enormous and I was so excited to start playing the second part that I bought it without even watching the trailer. When we finally got around to playing it not only did we find the puzzles underwhelming in comparison to the first game, we also noticed the use of AI in several places without it being stated anywhere which I'm pretty sure is a requirement on Steam. Overall, a bitter disappointment, both in not meeting expectations when it comes to the complexity (or lack thereof) of some puzzles, and especially with the very poor attempt at hiding the use of artificial intelligence. I sincerely hope the devs were simply not made aware instead of being on board, and that they will remove all AI elements after seeing the reviews.
Why are there no more updates? It's a nice game that improves on the first one, but the lack of new content since its release has killed it.
So far I'm very unhappy with this game. My very first experience, 6 months after the release of the game, is to get stuck by a game breaking bug. So far it's alright I can understand that new games will have bugs. But after going on the forum to report it, it turns out that the developpers believe they have fixed this bug months ago, and they just havent bothered to release an update with the fix ... As a developper myself, I find this is really outrageous. Sure you can wait to bundle up content and minor fixes in a big update, but when you have truly game breaking bugs you gotta publish a hotfix, you don't leave your customers stuck like this for so long.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my VR gameplay & commentary here: https://youtu.be/qbAGR9LcYB0 IF you enjoyed the VR support in the original Escape Simulator, then this is an easy recommendation. The VR Open Beta just started, but the VR support feels almost like an officially supported VR title. I didn't find any serious issues whatsoever. Escape Simulator 2 is an improvement on the first title in almost every way. The biggest improvement is the visuals. The game looks so much better now IMO. The themed locations look great in VR. The game also runs at a pretty steady 90 fps on my RTX 5090. You have full locomotion, along with smooth or snap turning. Most of the interactions are point & click, so it's definitely not a VR first or VR only title. However, you can interact with many objects and mostly just break stuff. You can play comfortably seated as well. The only issue I noticed was when I backed into a tree (in-game) and got a black screen. However, simply moving out fixed the issue. Rate ?/10. Easy recommend, thinking anywhere from 7/8 rating.
I bought this game! This game feels like a love letter to escape rooms. There were so many amazing and creative puzzles in here, it really blew my mind. People say it has less content than the previous one, but I think they don't realise how much work went into each room compared to the small ones we had in the first game. I do wish there would've been at least one more theme available, but I appreciate the quality over quantity in this one. I also really enjoyed the lobby and the hidden puzzles there, such an amazing idea!
