You are given a list of objects to find, which can be found by scouring the map. Most levels have large maps; you can't even look at all of them, even after zooming out to the max. While it normally can be daunting to find objects given the size of the map, Hidden Folks makes it easier by giving a hint on the object. This seems to be the actual way the game is supposed to be played, with you clicking on the object to find the general idea of its location, and then scouring the map to find the area that you are looking for before paying attention to where the object might be. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3432268507 The whole level is divided into several areas where points of interest gather in one spot. This makes it easier to notice which areas you need to pay extra attention to in order to find a certain object. It still can be challenging to find some objects this way, especially when they are hidden very well, but this just means that you only need to spend more time looking at everything more carefully. Some objects are not hidden in plain sight. Sometimes, you need to do a certain action to make an object either selectable or visible. This is also another reason why clicking on the hint of an object is important before you find it—these hints will usually tell you what you need to do to make them show up. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2885923201 Finishing a level can be done just by finding enough objects. You don't have to find them all to unlock the next level, although doing so will reward you with an achievement. Levels The game has some level variations. The vast maps are what you'll be getting most of the time, although it also has smaller maps from time to time. Honestly, I prefer the smaller maps since they are easier and faster to finish, although I started to appreciate the larger maps after I changed my mindset not to rush when finishing this game. In addition to those two, there are also levels where you need to guide someone to reach their destination by interacting with all obstacles that are blocking their way. Honestly, this is a nice addition to the game since it helps you to refresh your brain; you don't need to think to finish them most of the time, and they last long enough for you to enjoy them. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3432940106 Length and Difficulty I finished the game in 6.6h. The game can be difficult if you are not patient. The maps can be very huge, and finding the objects can be hard to do, especially if you are not used to it. Although the in-game hints don't tell you where the item is located, there are guides that can help you whenever you are stuck.
Conclusion
Hidden Folks is an enjoyable hidden object game, provided that you have the right mindset to enjoy playing it instead of rushing it. The vast maps will make those who are impatient not find anything, while those who play it slowly will enjoy everything the game has to offer. If you prefer playing hidden object games that require patience, this game is for you.

This was such a fun and enjoyable game to play after working each day - the animations were cute and surprising and the levels were challenging but didn't make you feel like giving up. The black and white visuals actually make it easier on the eyes when playing (i.e. less visual noise/distractions in an already visually rich game) so the overall experience of playing the game is calming and relaxing. This is actually the only game I've ever finished - that's how much I enjoyed playing it. I'm hoping if I wait long enough I'll forget enough of the game that it will feel brand new when I play it again. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing/cozy game.
Unfortunately, I think this game is EXTREMELY overpriced for what it offers. While this game offers a lot of content and levels, I still do not think the amount offered is worth the price. Hidden object games are hard to experiment within because it is very simple at its core. This game has some fun interactive features, and finding some of the hidden objects involves a bit of puzzle solving. This, however, started to feel stale pretty quickly as most of the puzzles were "click something x times until object appears". There were a few that involved plugging in or turning certain elements off/on to change the scene, and I would have liked to have seen more of those, especially at this game's price point. The "clear the path" levels were a lot of fun as they engaged with the mechanics of this game that are more unique. If there had been more of those, I think my opinion on the value might change. Especially if they had involved some puzzles. I did not notice any visual issues or bugged achievements while playing. Overall, if it's on a steep sale it might be worth it, but at the full price I cannot recommend it and say that you will find value for your dollars.
I LIKE IT! I really enjoyed the puzzle elements involved in finding the hidden folks, so it's not just about looking and clicking like other similar-looking HOGs. That said, I can only play it in small doses because, for some reason, the moving elements make me dizzy. I also wish there were a better hint system for the larger drawings. 9/10, for sure!
Extremely cozy spot it game. Great for wasting time
Before hidden folks, i had no will to live. i didnt eat. Ididnt sleep. i didnt take care of myself. after playing just 5 mins of this game i gained 20 pounds of muscle and grew the thickest beard ever. i now have enough pent up testosterone to single handedly save the male race if i was the only one left. if you take one thing away from this, know you can have this power too if you play hiddn people

I really like the sound design and the animation style and there is so much to discover ^-^. Cute game. Perfect while listening to audio books.
