About

Promising the Sabotage touch in every system, Sea of Stars aims to modernize the classic RPG in terms of turn-based combat, storytelling, exploration and interactions with the environment, while still offering a hearty slice of nostalgia and good old, simple fun.
Pressing the action button in sync with the animations increases damage output while reducing incoming damage. Along with timed hits, combat features multi-character combo attacks, boosting, and a strategic "locks" system offering options to play with different damage types in order to hinder enemies while they are channeling powerful attacks or spells, all in an immersive take on the genre; no random encounters, no transitions to separate battlefields, and no grinding.
Swim, climb, vault, jump off or hoist up ledges as you traverse seamlessly through the world with a navigation system based on platformer expertise that breaks free from the classic bound-to-the-grid tileset movement.
Our custom-made render pipeline allows the creation of a breathtaking world coming to life by pushing the limits of 2D pixel-art games.
Dozens of original characters and story arcs will take you on a captivating journey. Sometimes epic, sometimes silly, and other times emotional, Sea of Stars does its RPG duty of exploring classic themes of adventure and friendship, while also being chock-full of the unexpected twists and events you’d expect from a Sabotage production.
There are many ways to hang out in the world of Sea of Stars if you feel the need for a change of pace in your adventures. Sailing, cooking, fishing, stopping by a tavern to listen to a song or play the infamous tabletop game known as "Wheels".....every system has been designed to deliver an experience that pays respect to retro classics, while rethinking in some areas to offer a smooth and modernized experience.
Sea of Stars’ adventure is playable in its entirety by up to three players. Allies can drop in and out anytime to traverse the world together and master the Co-op Timed Hits combat mechanic. Also available via Steam Remote Play Together.

Beautiful pixel art and animations. That's it. The environments are really wonderful but everything else is so frustrating and tedious. There is constant climbing, tightrope walking, jumping, and sidling along walls. Sometimes the scenes are so dark I can't see where I'm supposed to go. Very annoying. The puzzles are not engaging, everything seems like a chore. The world has backtracking but it doesn't feel good to explore, see points above. The leveling system feels tacked on and not meaningful to add stats. I've started avoiding combat encounters because they take so long and get stale after a while. The story is bloated and lacks character and is not interesting. I think I'm about half done with the story, but I really don't care to finish the game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I 100% this game on Gamepass, bought it here to 100% it again
Terrible game. Even on the the easiest setting it is impossible to defeat the first major boss.
it's good, the DLC is good, buy this
I wanted to like this game but it's kinda boring. It has a fantastic art style, but the combat is very basic, and from the research I did the combat doesn't really change very much until you get the 4th character which then is just a case of delaying enemies turns. Also I hate to jump on a hate train but I never thought I would find a single character so annoying in all of my life in a video game, Garl inserts himself into EVERY situation whether he belongs there or not. It's not cute, it's annoying.. If you want to know what people are talking about as spoiler free as I can. The main characters are taught in the arts of whatever skills they have, you're told to go and meet somebody to further your craft, and the character previously mentioned will insert himself into the trial and almost get to the point of demanding to someone who's considered a higher "spirit" lets say that he belongs there.. He really doesn't, he's had no training, he does nothing but talk about food and literally creates situations that could potentially be gritty into something positive and SOMEHOW about him. The game is boring, and all of a sudden you have a situation where you could change that boredum to a potentially crazy scene, to have this Garl jump in and say "Everyone will forgive everything you did, don't worry if you killed people, as long as we all have a big meal we can all smile and be happy" It's so crap
I don't get how this game can have such high reviews, while beautiful and with great soundtrack this is probably the worst game I have ever played.
Man bekommt sofort Lufia/Mystic Quest Legends vibes.
