Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

This was one of my wife's favorites and we last played it 9/4/25 and didn't get the chance to play it again before she passed. she was ridiculously good and it and i always had so much fun. for all of those looking to get it it does require some small amounts of skill but it is wonderfully fun especially with your partner. please pick it up and honor your partners. Rest in Peace Ciscopuppy. You will always be that other half my soul that completed me.
I play the game with my kids. My 5 y/o keeps grabbing every item. We die a lot, they just laught it off. 10/10.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 25: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Better than ROR2 my friend Xavier takes all the chests on that game so this one was a breath of fresh air, Really fun.
The most satisfying, rich, complete, remake I have ever played! I loved the first Risk of Rain, its simplicity, small size, while at the same time being huge, full with wonder, packed with content! You'd buy the game and it would be 100% yours to play and explore and all! Risk of Rain 2 came along and they drifted from some of those things, don't get me wrong, the 2nd one is great! But it's not the first one, its something completetly different. its not as gimmicky, its not small/light in size, the game it's not all yours once you buy it (if you want 100% you still gotta buy a bunch of DLCs)... I was happy they made the 2nd one and that it was a success, i apprecciated some things they added to the 2nd that weren't on the first (like magazines and other cool items...)! But among the good things, you could also clearly smell the corporate people seeping into the development of the thing.... So it is a huge surprise to see that Risk of Rain Returns is this polished, this huge, this pretty, this faithfull to the original Risk of Rain while still feeling so fresh and so new!!! The music rocks The gameplay rocks The new stuff ROCKS Its like they made the first one again, merging into it all the good things of the 2nd, WHILE ALSO PUTTING COMPLETLY NEW STUFF ON TOP AND THE GAME IS COMPLETE!!!! No DLC ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! Huge bang for ur buck just to play this amazing masterpiece! No corporate ooze here, just passion and care! Thank you for making this game, trully! It is an example of how reworks should be made. With love and care :)
I love this game sm, honestly prefer it over ror2. Only complaint is lack of updates
I was trying to protect my planet but why do these survivors from the UES Contact Light kept on killing over and over again
i dont own this game, but i can review it. uhh if you like risk of rain returns and wish you could play it, play risk of rain returns, its just as good as the real thing (the real thing of course being risk of rain returns)
I think I prefer RoR2 for regular play, but playing this or RoR1 is worth it if you're a nerd who cares about the lore in these games like me
Feel like god slaughtering everything only to get my ass handed to me INSTANTLY by a group of stone golems 10/10 experience
Risk of Rain Returns sets a brilliant example of what a [strike]remaster[/strike] remake should look, feel and play like. Having played the OG RoR on release day and revisiting it lately, I can confidently say that Returns surpasses it in every way (almost makes it obsolete moving forward) while offering HUGE qol improvements.
S tier Roguelike, which proves why it's considered a timeless classic by the community.
