Gutes Spiel. Leider immer noch nicht absturzsicher. Deutsche Synchronisation wäre schön gewesen.
Half the time you are in need of more bullets and another half fighting with jammed guns. you cannot run and apply medkit and there's too much walking for my taste. There's a need for stamina and you have to drink ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ energy drinks to restore it and in the next 5 seconds your stamina is gone and you need it to JUMP as well. Most people who love open world and realistic games might love it but it's not my cup of tea.
I have been holding back writing a review but the game is unplayable without mods. That to me is annoying. It should have been listed Early access because it still feels that way years after release and the devs are now just posting screenshots of nothingburgers. WE DON'T WANT LORE UPDATES WE WANT THE GAME TO WORK.
Original review as of 11/26/2024: Honestly, I don't even know where to begin. The graphics are so good that my hardware literally struggles with FPS. The atmosphere is amazingly immersive and captivating from the start. Everything is interesting — side quests are great, and the main story has awesome twists, even though sometimes you feel like you might be missing something despite going through all the dialogue options. The locations — THIS IS A COMPLETE OVERHAUL OF ALL CLASSIC MAPS. Everything we’ve seen before is here: Cordon, Garbage, Rostok, Swamps, Zaton, and probably Jupiter (well, Jupiter in name only). It’s absolute mind-blowing nostalgia! Characters: I wasn't sure about Diode (turned out to be Azot from Yaniv), but I ran into Scar and Strider, who were both in the previous games! And Strelok shows up towards the end. The combat is top-tier: not overly tedious, but well-balanced and challenging. Monsters are genuinely dangerous on Veteran difficulty (Master felt pretty similar, which was added later), and money is scarce. Taking on two bloodsuckers is a solid challenge, especially in the early to mid-game. I used to think I wanted the Zone to play like an extraction shooter, but what they built here is even better. It feels great while keeping that hardcore edge — you can’t carry everything, enemies can kill you fast, and resources are tight... at least until mid-game. Granted, I'm such a loot goblin and survivalist that I hoarded tons of stuff and never ran low on supplies. Also, patch 1.01 rebalanced repair costs, which significantly impacted the economy. Regarding bugs: I'm ignoring minor visual glitches, but there were a few issues that almost softlocked my playthrough: Zalissya: I had to roll back to an older save after SIRCAA and run back to Zalissya. It only triggered because a random Monolith guy happened to agro and follow me. "Light at the End" quest from Quiet: Froze at the exit near the end, so I couldn't finish it. Finale run (Anomaly Room): Stepping into an anomaly crashed the game straight to the desktop. A literal softlock, because it crashed even on spring anomalies, making progression impossible without bypassing it. "In the Name of Science" Collars: Required an exact, strict sequence of actions to avoid softlocking the quest. (Note: As of 2026, literally ALL of these bugs have been completely fixed!) There were also a few minor hiccups here and there. Nothing game-breaking, but it dampened the experience slightly. The Faust encounter was an absolute nightmare not just for me, but for my FPS as well — it took me a while to figure out what to do. I 100% completed all achievements in one go. The longest grind was collecting every artifact — that took forever. The fast travel system feels unrefined and definitely needs work: guides vanish unexpectedly, and some routes should be expanded. (partially fixed with "Untold stories" patch adding 1 hub in remote area) Malachite gets weird after the Ward attack. I couldn't find the mechanic specialization system mentioned in the loading screen tips — devs should probably look into that. You can also see mechanics clearly inspired by mods, like doctors... though I have no clue why anyone would ever pay them to heal. Maybe they'll expand this system later by adding injuries that can only be cured by doctors. Multiplayer: I'm holding out hope (based on some vague interview notes from Kryppa) that part of the multiplayer mode will feature an extraction shooter mechanic, which I’d love to see. Everything revolves heavily around legacy characters. It’s pretty funny considering the developers kept saying you wouldn't need to play the original trilogy to enjoy this one. Sure, maybe you don't have to, but having played the previous games gives you a much richer perspective on the lore and story. Even without prior context, though, it's a solid, lengthy narrative. Ultimately, it's both a massive standalone title and an incredible, fan-service-filled remaster packed with references to the original trilogy. They borrowed heavily from popular mods, and once official modding tools drop, this game will become a massive playground for the community. Bottom line: I'm absolutely loving it!
4- / 5 ______________________________________ (ENG) Very strange impressions from the game. I can't say that it's perfect, but I still want to play and pass. I can definitely say that the GSC developers did their best, although there are a lot of minor bugs in the game that might not have been there: the characters' replicas are incorrect or strange (for example, when the Ejection is still underway, an announcement appears that the Ejection is over), the mutant AI behaves strangely when you try to hide from them on a hill - they just run away Go around the corner and freeze, the game's stealth mechanics work very strangely, and much more. There are a lot of things that could have been fixed by release, and even more so 1.5 - 2 years after the game was released. Why does the character want to eat every 2 minutes? It's terrible, I'm sick of feeding him. And of course, one of the most important things that touched me in the first minutes of the game was the voice acting. In the game, it is only Ukrainian and English. I understand everything, I know why I don't want to implement Russian voice acting or there is no possibility for political reasons, I myself do not support what happened in 2022. But guys, seriously? Stalker can't only be in Ukrainian. Fortunately, at least there are some more or less working mods. Anyway, I want to say that the game is definitely worth playing, I've been playing for almost 30 hours and I'm vacuuming literally all the locations. I'm very scared and at the same time, my interest in research is overwhelming. Thanks to GSC, I hope their next projects will be of better quality If it were possible to rate on Steam, then I would put a 4- / 5

Game looks great, decent immersion and has the right atmosphere. Sadly cannot recommend the game for 1 reason, enemy spawns. Why enemies just randomly spawn behind you or around you. It just breaks the immersion completely and is not fun! One example, which was the point I uninstalled. Exited building, looked both ways, clear. Crouch walked to next building while again checking both ways, enter next building. Instantly shot in the back, turn around 3 enemies shooting me and another one running to help out. There was no way those enemies could have come from anywhere but random spawn in the middle of the path I travelled. It happened numerous times throughout the 6h I played. pack of mutant dogs just spawning around me when exploring. One second it's clear, next 4 of them 10ft around me🤬 I may give the game another shot in a year or two. Most likely gonna have to find a mod to remove the enemy spawns tho😒
Monolitha, Colonitha, Stalker 2… greatitha
