Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The very definition of a "buy on sale" game. The story is just "ok". The combat is just "ok". The farming is just "ok". At no point does the game actively draw you in to its story or mechanics. Everything is just "ok".
As someone who played through 4 Special and 5 from the main series, I quite like this game. For those unfamiliar with Rune Factory, it's basically like a life-sim with a stronger focus on being an rpg. You can level up, have skills, various weapons, can form parties, but you still have villagers to talk to, crops to sell, etc. Though the life-sim part of this game is more of a village builder than a farming simulator. You place buildings, decorations, and crops for the purpose of boosting stats and having a steady source of income and get villagers to manage most of it for you. Though time freezes while you do this, so most of your in-game time is meant to spent on exploring, fishing, or burning time with villagers in exchange for strengthening your bond with them. As for how I feel about all this, I actually welcomed a lot of the changes. I liked having skill trees to sink points into, the divine relics are fun to use in combat, the interface is pretty good, and I honestly feel pretty good about recommending this game to newcomers to the series. It also just feels like Rune Factory. No dungeon feels like it overstays its welcome, the combat is nice and simple, you have plenty of various things to do, so I never really felt like gameplay got stale. This all said, I do wish you would have one big village to manage instead of 4 partially cause it's a bit of a chore to talk to all the villagers daily and I did get a tad tired of doing everyone's bonding quests one after the other, still that could have just been how I decided to play the game. Overall though, would recommend.

Since this is a spin off of the normal rune factory games, many mechanics are familiar but switched up in some way. I feel as though this is a good rune factory for newcomers to jump into, but if you've played previous rune factory games before, this game may feel easier (for better or worse). Main things of note (for me anyway): -No longer a skill leveling system to get recipes. I should note that there still is experience points gained relating to your skills that you can use in the skill trees, but they aren't tied to GAINING recipes. This is a 75% good and 25% bad thing for me, since in previous games it felt pretty grindy to get higher level recipes, especially because it just made sense to craft the same thing over and over to level the skill up (which is pretty boring). With this game you collect recipes mostly by exploring (which is a nice way to provide area level relevant recipes), but also by completed quests, whether it be through the request board, someone's personal quest, etc. The main issue I have is that it can feel like you should rush through the game to get the best recipes, or (more noticeable in the late game I have found), you get new weapon recipes too quickly where it makes the previous weapon recipe obsolete before you even return home to craft it. -Leveling up someone's relationship bar is much easier and more interesting than previous games. Rather than chat with them and throw a gift at them every single day (which you can still do), there are hangout options which make getting to know the character much more fun. Some options will show you a unique cut scene, while most will show you going to a location and having the character comment on it afterwards. I would love it if they expanded on this in the future. -Rune points are not used for literally every action. I can't decide if I like this or not. Chopping wood, mining, farming, fishing, etc. all used rune points in the past, which made it so you had to think about what you wanted to prioritize. This also made it so food was much more useful in my opinion. I hardly ate any food in this game (despite the bajillion food recipes, which really needs a better sorting system) because I didn't really have need to replenish my RP (nor my health or other stats, more on that in a minute). The main thing I DO like about this is that it feels like I can actually do more with each in game day, rather than going to bed at the ripe time of 10 am because I'm out of RP and don't have enough/don't want to spend the money to go to the bathhouse (since sleeping is always free). -Villagers can take care of farming, logging, mining, fishing, and running shops. For me, this was a way to get lots of lumber/stone without me having to do anything, since I wanted to control all the farming (and fishing and running store fronts is just easy money for you). I know some people don't like this mechanic, but I just used the villagers to grind building resources. Honestly if you wanted to ignore these guys and focus on how you would gather resources in the past, its entirely possible. This mechanic just feels like a way to help out the player if they don't want to focus on doing certain tasks. I also found the village building to be enjoyable, but you could absolutely just slap buildings and decorations down and call it a day to get your stat boosts if you don't want to bother with any of that. -The game feels very easy. Like I've stated previously, I've hardly ever eaten food or used any potions because it doesn't feel necessary. I didn't bother with upgrading any of my weapons because I didn't feel like I was struggling at any point. Just craft the newest one and you're good to go. With the main story this doesn't bother me so much, but the post game dungeon didn't feel like a challenge at all (which is where I expect the difficulty to kick it into gear since you should have all the tools at your disposal now). I'm mostly sad about this because this is where I feel like hard work and understanding the system pays off. However, when it comes to new players, this may be beneficial so they don't become overwhelmed. If they added a difficulty higher than hard like they did RF4 Special this may appease fans familiar with the system. Most of my "downsides" about this game are me just being nitpicky, since I feel like a spinoff game is a good way to try plenty of new things while seeing what new and former fans enjoy/dislike. Overall this is probably my 2nd favorite rune factory game (behind RF4) and its definitely worth playing if you're a fan of farming/life sims :)

This was my first Rune Factory game and I enjoyed it for what it is but I think I would have given it a neutral rating if the option is available. It is a fun game for those seeking for super relaxing experience, otherwise, it really lacks any sort of challenge or consequences of actions. In addition, the game felt quite shoddly made in many aspects despite the price tag of almost $90AUD ($60 USD). The game has very floaty control which made exploration and puzzle solving quite painful. Combat was easy enough on normal difficulty and mostly involved either consuming a lot of food to restore health or getting dodge timing right. I enjoyed village building aspect quite a bit in the beginning but it started to get tedious later on with 4 different villages to manage. Story is decent enough if you are familiar with Japanese anime trope. What surprised me was how much I ended up enjoying getting to know some of characters, especially the 6 Gods of Azuma. I generally don't play JRPGs as I find characters very over the top and cringey but somehow, I found characters in Guardians of Azuma charming although it did take some time to get used to them. I definitely enjoyed 65 hours I've spent on it but don't think it's a game I will revisit due to how shallow it was overall. I'd recommend to pick it up during sale rather than at full price.
Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma - идеальное переосмысление оригинальных частей Rune Factory.
I know its a spinoff title and it appeals more towards people who havent played Rune Factory before but being someone who's played Rune Factory since the NDS this is a disappointment. The farming portion felt constrained
You have four towns to build and farm but the areas to build in are limited in some towns.
I did enjoy the various recipes I just wished there was some sort of filtering. The combat was terribly boring and I didn't have fun at all and it feels even worse since battles are so zoomed in since theres no FOV slider. Not to mention the terrible camera angles and in some sections it's so tight you cant even see yourself since the monsters take up more of the screen. Characters felt one dimensional and having a mildly interesting story that felt rushed didn't help build any kind of feeling or connection with the characters. I'm also personally not a fan of having two characters in base game and only being able to unlock them as romanceable with dlc. The biggest issue I had with the game was the post game
You cant start post game unless you have a child. So once you're done the story and if you havent married and had a child yet you're stuck doing boring busy work and honestly at that point I just skipped days because money isnt really that important after a certain point to require you to actively farm and do things.
Overall I wouldn't say the game is terrible but after you get to a certain point and the new paint wears off it just doesnt feel fun anymore. The ratings and reviews mostly overhype this game so set any kind of expectation and just enjoy the ride while its new and fun.
