Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.29/day in the week to Aug 22 → 3/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

★★★☆☆
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3703279537

I guess they wanted to try something new with this one. I enjoyed my time when playing through this one. Definitely the weakest out of the main four games but still an important game to play if you want to continue Clementine's story.
It's not as good as the first two seasons, but it's okay, still playable.
"Some decisions you make in a split second and then have to carry them for the rest of your life." The Walking Dead: A New Frontier is an episodic graphic adventure game developed by Telltale Games and published by Skybound Games. Story Set roughly two years after events of Season Two, A New Frontier is focused on Javier "Javi" Garcia, a former professional baseball player now taking care of his brother's family who went missing as the walker pandemic started. On the road and scavenging for supplies, a group has an unfriendly encounter that as it turns out will be a start of bigger conflict Javi will have to deal with. Gameplay I could pretty much copy-paste what I wrote about Season Two of The Walking Dead...or about First Season when I think about it. If you played previous games (I assume so by you checking out "Third Season" of the series) you already know the deal, but because a proper and not made up by me "reviewer étiquette" orders me to be open minded about whoever is reading this, I will shortly write about it nonetheless. In ANF you have same point and click gameplay of previous Telltale titles mashed with quicktime events and dialogue choices- 3 key ingredients used in this meal. Make your way through the game chatting and solving simple environmental puzzles scene by scene, chapter by chapter, episode by episode, with each step getting you close to grand finale! For the most part you will be selecting dialogue to impact overall narrative and relationship with characters. Click an option you want, ignore the others! While silence is a valid option, there also are unskippable important choices you HAVE TO make and bear the consequences in both short and long term from which you can't run away. When not talking, you will enjoy some quick time events that make for majority of action in New Frontier- mash those keys shown on screen or die trying (in-game), resulting in going back to previous, usually very nearby checkpoint. Lastly a bit of exploration as scenes give you small-sized areas to navigate and solve basic puzzles, options to interact and chat with characters (if available), look at items or pick them up for usage whether instant or later one. Here the point and click gameplay bit chimes in as you have to point and click on points of interest to use them. In short: Same ol' same ol'. Playtime, replayability It takes 6-7 hours to beat the game for the first time, and as always you have a good reason to give it one more go thanks to multiple choices and consequences that come along, changing to some extend your playthrough! Impressions One of those "If I could I would give mixed/neutral rating" games. "Third Season" runs on update engine, so one of the first positives you will notice is improved visual side of the game. Still keeping the comic-like artstyle from previous entries but with sharper, more detailed textures and animations! As always, praise goes towards voice actors who nailed their work and really brought characters to life with excellent performance. Speaking of characters, the new cast of them in this season is genuinely good and a very solid point of the game, well written with strong personalities that you will like (and dislike) quite quickly. As per usual the gameplay is a mixed bag, it works but that's all there is to it. Could use something to spice it up quite frankly. Was negatively surprised by the fact save slots have been removed. Previously you could have select certain chapter of an episode to replay for that "one particular choice you wanted to check" by copying your savefile and not worry about losing progress. Here you don't have that, so you either accept the loss and redo chunk of the game or you wait until you beat it entirely. You also cannot select specfic chapters no more. Want to make a different choice at the end of episode? Have fun replaying it whole. Another was lenght. Sure it's "only an hour or two less" but that makes a big difference in such short title. Feels like game toned down a little with exploration bits, felt like even with checking everything these scenes were shorter than before so perhaps it's gameplay that suffered, not lenght of the story itself. Story suffers from other issues unfortunately, starting from the simple fact that game absolutely craps all over S2 endings. In a bizzare fashion none of 4 endings actually end up being relevant, with 2 "characted-tied" endings being just a slap to the face, a disgrace of highest level. Here I talk about my main problem: Game itself. Moving Clementine to supportive role, a fan favourite character after we saw her development over two Seasons, with latter season having her as a main protagonist? That's just not it. Especially as both Clem and Javi ultimately share same "family drama" storyline so you get same thing twice. Game is not fully focused on Javi, as it jingles around Clem like keys to grab and keep your attention, but it's not focused entirely on her either as we navigate through tough relationship inside Garcia family for the most part. Clementime gets flashbacks to fill up the gaps between S2 and 3 but...felt like there was enough backstory and events in them to create a 3rd season with her taking the spotlight, allowing people to keep playing as beloved character and continue to see her growth? ANF doesn't provide any development when it comes to her character that would be "needed" for 4th title while Javi just comes and goes to never be mentioned again, and because of that even with great cast the stakes in the game just don't feel the same. You ultimately don't have this interest in who lives and dies, which is disappointing because game has some really well made shocker moments. So it's not a spin-off like Michonne side game but with Javi, and yet it also doesn't feel like a proper follow up season to S2. It give you this weird limbo feel from the start to the very finish, two solid ideas mashed into one which makes both worse and for me, makes game drop to just above average title at the end, with shorter playtime than previous two seasons and lack of slot saves hurting it overall. Conclusion Confused over direction it wanted to go, A New Frontier blends two ideas into a single mediocre one, even with engine improvements and solid roster of characters.
pretty good! not as good as the other two. was a little dissapointed that you dont play as clem in this game, though Javi was a good enough protag. clem was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool in this game haha, def the highlight. i just think personally that the side characters didnt do it for me in this game, especially after the peak group in s2. anyways, hope clem is the protag in the final season, looking forward to it
It's unfortunate to say, but the writing in this game has got to be the weakest amongst all TWD seasons. Yes, I read the news about how the main writers quit and the writing was outsourced. The side characters in this game are incredibly one dimensional and their behaviors flip-flop very often. One moment they are nice towards you, then suddenly they are antagonizing you, and then they are nice towards you again. The side characters are always blaming you for things that you can't control and making narrow minded remarks about your choices. Even when narratively those characters are the ones who screwed up, they are immaturely blaming you for it. Most of the side characters behave in this manner and it is a recurring pattern. Most of the side characters in this game are not likable at all. The main antagonist in this season is also lacklustre. She doesn't have the same impact as antagonists in previous seasons and she is pretty much defeated not long after her devious motives are revealed. The writing in this game simply lacks the strong emotions and poignant moments that were present in previous seasons. The thing that frustrates me the most though, is that the dialogue choices in this game are really disjointed. Many of the dialogue choices in this game do not correlate well with the actual dialogue that the main character speaks. You will very often find yourself choosing a dialogue expecting the main character to say it as it is, but then the main character says something completely different instead or with a tone that you did not expect. Either way, this is still a budget narrative game. For what it's worth, I think it is still an alright game.
Easily the weakest one of the bunch. Some SPOILERS ahead Pros: - Prettier graphics - Javi himself is okay character - Cool cameo of Jesus from original comics - Clementine (in 20% of a game) Cons: - Killing off unceremoniously either Jane or Kenny from previous game from the start. I chose Jane because she was a cool character and Kenny got crazy and imagine my disappointment when devs just got rid of her. Absolutely baffling decision. - Cheap soap opera level of story. Just too much drama, focus on that Latino family relationship, forced love triangle, choices on every corner that absolutely don’t matter. Also so many dumb moments here, its insane! For example, there is a moment when Javi captured and basically surrounded by armed goons and watching attempted execution of his brother. One of the 2 choices here is just pull a gun (out of were exactly? beats me!) and killed off bad lady that commanding that execution. You do that and basically leaving unscathed! It defies any logic and common sense. And such moments are in every chapter. - Clementine here in 20% of a game. I just don’t care about almost all of new characters, Clem is soul of the series and devs decision to sideline her absolutely not working. - Most of the characters either bland or straight up annoying. Gabe is kind of annoying characters in video games, oh how i wish that idiot in a beanie was killed off in this game. And devs pairing him with Clem, another insanity! Also this Kate girl, oh my god, stupid and clingy and game basically forcing Javi to romancing her to a point of a conflict with his brother. Why would he do that? At some point Javi gets flirty with another character Eleanor and i thought - finally, some choices. No, you basically stuck with Kate, no matter what. - Even less gameplay. Not that first 2 games had much of it, but at least they had some exploration and something that resemble a puzzles (for a kindergarten kids, i know). This one is basically long cinematic with occasional QTEs. Overall, its a big step down from first 2 games. Attempt to displace Clementine with new characters failed miserably and plot wise game very boring.
Mixed feelings about this season, it wasn`t as bad as the 2nd in terms of choices being unimportant but it felt kind of off, almost as a spin off(length and name choice also makes me think this). You don`t control Clementine, I would say she`s not even the main character in this one. And her story isn`t even all that affected here, she goes through whole season looking for someone only to never find them, so might as well skip this and just look at the summary. Some deaths felt forced, others felt deserved, overall a mess, most characters were on screen for far too little to care about them and their choices make you hate them, so why even bother saving them?
