One of the best exploration strategy games. Also check out curious expedition 1/2
Awesome game, I keep coming back to it, it's hard to described, but you need to spend time to find out it's intricacies, it's feels easy at first, but you know you are missing a layer, then you find and work that layer. It's not overwhelming, but definitely complex but very rewarding, and then this opened up to the insane replayability and layers and fun and complexity. So many various ways with so many various characters and un-like other games, each characters and it's progression (2 main path each) result in extremly different gameplay.
Très bon jeu. Le système est très original et l'ambiance est à la fois drôle et prenante. On ressent bien le stress des roues du hasard lorsqu'elle sont lancées.
One of my all time favorites! I enjoy roguelikes and RPGs alot, and this one scratches all the itches. Highly recommend!
Silly game but surprisingly fun.
very good, need to buy trinkets to upgrade your character tho.
Is very good! Feels like playing an Indiana Jones Movie, but with more fun character interactions and hijinks. Lots of room for figuring out cool strategies and synergies
I was recently in the market for a game in the "strategic exploration game" genre and reached the conclusion that many others in similar spots have, namely that the two principal options are Renowned Explorers or the Curious Expeditions franchise. After spending some time with both, I can say that they are substantially different games, both of which are likely worth your time and money, but that I'll likely be spending more time with Renowned Explorers in the future. Curious Expeditions 2 revolves around optimizing movement and inventory management with a light tactical combat layer, whereas Renowned Explorers revolves around resource management and engine building with a much deeper tactical combat layer. The systems here are complex, but not overly so, although they are admittedly extremely poorly documented in game. I've only scratched the surface, and whereas I felt like I had mastered to core gameplay loop of CE2 prior to completing my first playthrough of the campaign, I expect that getting a full grasp on RE's ruleset will take substantially longer, and also that it will have substantially more replayability due to how meaningfully crew construction affects optimal resource generation/consumption and combat strategies.
I enjoy it
