Mauvais jeu. Imprecis, confus. Je regette de l'avoir acheté. A deconseiller.
After over 300 hours in Railway Empire 2, I can confidently say this has become one of my all-time favorite management and strategy games. It took me a little time to truly understand all of the mechanics, from the logistics and signaling to the city growth system, but once it all clicked, I was completely hooked. What stands out most is how deep and rewarding the game play feels. Every route you plan, every connection you optimize, and every cargo decision makes a tangible impact on your growing network. Watching your empire expand across the thoughtfully detailed maps never stops being satisfying. The developers clearly poured a lot of care into refining the simulation and presentation. The map design is thoughtful, the music and atmosphere fit perfectly, and the interface improvements over the first game are substantial. I’ve especially come to appreciate how flexible the systems are. You can approach each scenario with your own style, whether you prefer efficiency, aesthetics, or sheer scale. There’s a real joy in mastering the complexity. What initially felt overwhelming has turned into one of the most engaging, relaxing, and fulfilling experiences I’ve had in a management sim and that is before considering my overwhelming love for trains. If you’re on the fence or felt intimidated at first, give it time. The learning curve is worth it. Railway Empire 2 is a brilliant evolution of the series and a game I’ll keep returning to for years to come. I always eagerly and impatiently anticipate the next expansion!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Overall really good management/strategy game. I liked it better than the first version despite what some of the comments are saying. The worst part is the NPCs that you compete against-- very annoying dialogue. Some more soundtrack variety would also be an improvement
Personally I love the style of gameplay and the great track builder, the graphics and soundtrack are above amazing, I highly recomend this game!!!
Once I watched some you tube videos of how to play the game , it became much more enjoyable to play.
For a railway game it is pretty good. I have played both versions,
I really enjoyed the gameplay. A big part of it for me was just watching the trains run—sometimes I’d sit back and just observe everything moving. The POV camera views made that even better, especially seeing how the tracks intersected above and below each other. That visual flow of the system was a big part of the fun. Progression can be heavily optimized. Speed matters a lot, and it’s possible to “gimmick” success by rapidly connecting as many cities as possible early with basic rail lines. When I did that, I ended up dominating the map economically very quickly, which made the system feel a bit breakable in places. I do think the game could benefit from more tools like improved stations or better ways to manage complex intersections, but it was still very fun overall. Visually, I really liked it. The trains and environments don’t aim for realism perfection, but they look good and are enjoyable to watch in motion, which mattered more to me than technical fidelity. For price, I think it’s worth full price personally, though I don’t think most people would agree. Even so, I’d say it’s comfortably worth at least a slight sale price around $30. In terms of replayability, I can see myself coming back to it occasionally, especially if they release DLC that adds meaningful systems or train options rather than just new maps.
Set a timer alarm. Walk away. Or you will never get anything else done. So Addictive.
I dig this game. There are some oddities like Trains basically ignoring tracks that would make things faster, There can be multiple tracks open but they just do it their own way. Warehouses are strange. Way points make things very useful to solve the "dumb" trains problem.
