Absolutely incredible game, with an incredible mod scene. It allows me to run my own fictional branch of my favorite railway (the Western Maryland) and helps scratch the itch since my home layout is still not completed. I can't wait to see where this game goes in the future.
This is a game that will be stuck in EA for years, it's been well over a year since the last proper update and the devs like to delete discussion threads about anything related to when the next update might come out. You'll get some hours out of it but everything becomes stale and repetitive, even with mods. Buy it if you don't mind only ever having a game in an EA state but if you expect it to ever be released you'll be left high and dry.
love this game big shoutout to the developers and the mod community hope to see this game continue to grow
THIS is how you make computer games people. Easy to pick up with an enormous amount of depth. This game has singlehandedly restored my faith in the gaming industry. Just WOW!!
A game that catches you by surprise, you don't think that a railroad management and logistics sim would be that deep and then you look up and have 100hrs in it. 10/10 no notes
Literally life sized train set money making autism game. and i love it, 10/10, great graphics, great train sounds, there are also tons of mods for this game. plus it is multiplayer, so you and your friends can do train stuff together too
It is very unity feeling, world wise (trees, terrain LOD, lighting), so don't expect any "unique flavour" to the style, although they did apparently recreate an old line from awhile ago, so there is rhyme to the map layout. Also the performance needs an overhaul, seriously gotta figure out a better solution than lower the LOD on more things, cause the world looks so barren without the tree's, or it really takes away from being "in the game" when the tree's appear within a 100', however that doesn't take away the attention to details and potential to expand even further upon the realism. Definitely my go-to train game when I want something that makes me think, but not heavy on the pacing or reflexes. Nice to just go at my own pace, running a few trains hopping around and using the auto-engineer.
Great game, though updates are slow and would like to see them faster i understand its a small dev team.
This is one of the best railroad simulators that I've ever played. I started out playing MSTS and Trainz Railroad Simulator 2006 and have moved to different railroad simulators over the years. None of them are as fun as Railroader. I love how customizable Railroader is and that you can run your railroad the way you want. I also love how this game allows mods and that there is a multiplayer mode. This is by far the best and most fun railroad simulator that I've played and I highly recommend you buy this game. It's definitely worth the price. I give it a 10/10.
