Reviews
The game wont even launch. Hours trouble shooting, updating Windows, drivers etc. Nothing works. Running as admin doesn't work, permissions through Firewall etc doesn't work. There's no solution to this and I can't even find a way to get a refund. It's pathetic and not worth the time or money.
Just relax and enjoy building some roads my man! It may be odd but I love just planning and expanding my network

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great fun and challenging ways to optimise production.
i dont understand why i like this game so much
Good Strategy game with resonable graphics
Most irritating pile ♥♥♥♥ I have ever played, couldn't even make it through the first chapter it annoyed me so much. Track placement, explanation as to why trains aren't using the maintenance buildings is severely lacking. i could go on, but I've already wasted enough time.
Overall really good management/strategy game. I liked it better than the first version despite what some of the comments are saying. The worst part is the NPCs that you compete against-- very annoying dialogue. Some more soundtrack variety would also be an improvement
this game finaly got to a playable state. Tried a few years back because i loved the tycoon series and was disappointed with this game then. Now it has most of the features i loved in the old railroad sim games. Still has a learning curve but i stuck with it and realy enjoyed the challenge.
After over 300 hours in Railway Empire 2, I can confidently say this has become one of my all-time favorite management and strategy games. It took me a little time to truly understand all of the mechanics, from the logistics and signaling to the city growth system, but once it all clicked, I was completely hooked. What stands out most is how deep and rewarding the game play feels. Every route you plan, every connection you optimize, and every cargo decision makes a tangible impact on your growing network. Watching your empire expand across the thoughtfully detailed maps never stops being satisfying. The developers clearly poured a lot of care into refining the simulation and presentation. The map design is thoughtful, the music and atmosphere fit perfectly, and the interface improvements over the first game are substantial. I’ve especially come to appreciate how flexible the systems are. You can approach each scenario with your own style, whether you prefer efficiency, aesthetics, or sheer scale. There’s a real joy in mastering the complexity. What initially felt overwhelming has turned into one of the most engaging, relaxing, and fulfilling experiences I’ve had in a management sim and that is before considering my overwhelming love for trains. If you’re on the fence or felt intimidated at first, give it time. The learning curve is worth it. Railway Empire 2 is a brilliant evolution of the series and a game I’ll keep returning to for years to come. I always eagerly and impatiently anticipate the next expansion!
