Reviews
This game has gotten past the point of needing mod support for map editing and other stuff the community could come up with. New players will eventually find themselves wanting more. Especially with the bugs and lack of support for the base game and older DLC's. I would not recommend buying this game unless heavily discounted going forward.
poor performance, all the fun aspects of building train lines are stripped out. After 6 months of trying to get a refund, I'm finally giving up. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. You will get screwed by steam.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Marvellously satisfying game. Has some quirks, but overall gives me the Railroad Tycoon experience with a bit more depth. Be warned, each mission in the campaign is hours long. I wasn't expecting to complete all of the objectives then be handed a bunch more. I found in the early game of each mission, the objectives can be quite tight to complete. Expect to restart a few times while you work out how to construct your railways. Highly recommend looking at YouTube videos on how to play effectively. The game requires you to understand how to grow cities, which means satisfying all demands. You want to separate freight and express lines as soon as you can and make use of hub cities with a Warehouse to spread goods to all of your cities. Hub cities save you money on running a train line for every single resource that the city might not need. Each city only needs 1 unit of resource, which means a hub could feed 7 cities quite easily, assuming they arent using the resources for a factory. Don't forget to invest into Carboose wagons and always get your personnel effectiveness up to 125%.
If you enjoyed Railway Empire, you'll really enjoy this one. This picks up where the last one left off. I really like how it'll allow you to create parallel tracks with a click. The switches at each side of the stations are much easier now also. I will say, this one seems a lot more challenging also. There's some definite planning that is required on some of these. I'm enjoying it. My only complaint really is that there's only 5 campaign missions.
The campaign is genuinely enjoyable – clear objectives, well-paced scenarios, and just the right amount of challenge without feeling like you’re fighting the game. It teaches you the mechanics naturally, and I rarely had that “what on earth does it want me to do?” feeling. On top of that, I’ve run into very few bugs, nothing game-breaking and certainly nothing like what I dealt with in TF2. What I love most is the focus on planning and logistics over micromanagement. Building lines, optimising routes, and watching towns grow around your network is incredibly satisfying. It scratches that transport/management itch perfectly. My only real complaint is that the era stops a bit too early. I’d love to see the timeline pushed further into the future with more modern trains and late-game tech. The core gameplay is so good that it feels like a missed opportunity not to carry it into high-speed rail and contemporary locomotives. Overall, if you enjoy building networks and managing a railway empire without wading through a swamp of bugs, I absolutely recommend Railway Empire 2
不如一代好玩,特色都没了,狂热运输2完全上位替代
this game imo ..... is basically a good game .... but having played for so,e ti,e now .... it is loaded with bugs and glitches. It can be very frustrating when you get a message that track a is to close to tack b ... relay it in the same place and it is fine ... there are loads of infuriating things like that trough out the game .. it is a shame .. as this is a good game if i like railway type ... if u can put up with the constant bugs ... as far as reporting a problem that is a bit long winded
Since the first installment of the game, it's been nearly impossible to build a simple T-junction on railway tracks without the rails breaking within the junction due to uneven terrain. This is incredibly frustrating, as it should be the simplest task in a railway simulation.
