This game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rules. The graphics are so sick The sound track is good...but not great, a lot of songs are repeated and although they're good I feel like if they went harder with the sound track it would have hit a lot harder over all (like DOOM 2016 did) Enemy design is a little generic and repetitive but over all those are minor gripes because this game is a lot of fun and it's refreshing to see something different and interesting graphically. It's obviously a love letter to DOOM (1993) which is great because I still play it (Brutal DOOM/Project brutality) It's a lot like that where it's just run around and kill things lots of blood lots of fun. I do really hate that the enemies blink when they're low on health...it's such a poor design choice, fortunately in DOOM (2016) there was an option to turn it that off so when you'd go in for a glory kill you'd do so based off of your instincts and if they've visibly staggered...that's a lot more fun and a lot less cheesy than the enemy literally blinking to tell you they're low on health. Over all I love this game it's a nice breath of fresh air and I highly recommend it to fans of classic FPS games.
One day we'll see that DLC. A man can dream.
Prodeus is a pretty fun shooter. The level design is very good and detailed, with secrets not being absolutely insane to find. Weapons are pretty unique from each other, each fulfilling different roles or play styles. The game features a respawn feature (Nexus Points) so you can't truly fail most levels by death.
Features only one campaign, with supposedly a DLC releasing in the future
. The campaign is divided in 4 chapters/acts (signified by the world map transitions). The first of which starts out slow and stays being slow for seemingly a bit too long. The pacing begins to really pick up when you are about 75% through the first chapter/act. Chapters/acts 2 and 3 are fairly difficult if trying to do them without dying, though Nexus Points can quickly invalidate most difficulty however, as enemies do not reset, respawn, or regen health. Chapter/act 4 is surprisingly very small, and the difficulty seemingly spikes down then back up. Overall, I did enjoy this game. I do think the kill 10,000 enemies achievement sucks though, as I finished every other achievement at around 8000 kills and felt like I had experienced everything the game had to offer where I felt like I should move on to another game. I did not interact with user generated content/custom levels by the community.
The ending is a cliffhanger and pretty sudden. Should the DLC release, I will play it as well
.
It's Brutal Doom reskinned. So it's awesome. It's a fun game, pretty forgiving, generous with ammo; I beat it on hard and it wasn't that difficult. My only gripe is that there are clearly blanks in the loadouts for additional weapons that just aren't available in the main campaign. There's no chainsaw; and there's no BFG which I REALLY wanted, but there just isn't one. That sucks. Otherwise, fun game
Quite the surprise hit for me. Genuinely feels like a good mix of old-timey and modern boomer shooters.
Pretty good modern boomer shooter. All the weapons sound punchy, and every weapon you get remains viable until the end. Enemies explode into fountains of blue, red or orange and cover ceilings and walls and yourself. Blood drips from the ceiling. It rides the same line that DOOM does where you feel incredibly powerful but if you don't stop moving you can die real quick. I do wish that there was a dedicated melee and grenade button but I can't fault the game for that.
Great Visceral gameplay, it gets addicting blowing Demons and Prodeus to shreds with a Quad Barrel shotgun. 8.5/10
Good, but needs more maps, support etc.
хороший бумер шутер. всем советую. ничего плохого сказать не могу
