Prodeus is a first-person shooter of old, re-imagined using modern rendering techniques and technology. Experience the quality you’d expect from a modern AAA game, designed with retro aesthetics and gameplay that invoke the tech-imposed limits of older hardware.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Prodeus instantly captured me with its amazing visual style, the tight gunplay and the pounding sound design. It is a total joy to mow through hordes of disgusting demons and explore the well-thought-out levels. It's basically classic Doom done today. And that's also its biggest problem. The game misses putting uniqueness into the classic formula. The more you play the more you will realize that this is too much of a copy of an almost 30 years old game but with modern technology. Most enemy types are almost 1:1 copies of Doom and while the level design itself is new, the setting is also pretty much the same. Compared to games like Amid Evil, Cultic or Ion Fury, Prodeus lacks the breath of fresh air once you get over the awesome presentation. Another huge issue for me was the respawn system. When you die, you respawn at the last checkpoint. So far so good, but all enemies you've killed stay dead. Dying has no meaning here. Later levels also suddenly change how you get ammo. While most of the game had classic pickups for ammo, later levels have platforms that just indefinitely refresh your ammo stocks. It feels random and weird to change the system forth and back. Features like the double jump and dash mechanics also feel half-assed when they unlock late in the 6-8 hours long campaign. And some of the later levels are pretty bland, being either superlinear or just big arenas with waves of enemies spawning. The final level is the worst offender here. All in all, this is still a blast to play but doesn't rank among the best "boomer shooters" for me.

This was a lot of fun in co-op. Not much new or unique about it, but a worthy addition to the modern boomer shooter library.
Non-stop thrills mixed with excellent level design and banger music
Prodeus is good game with good atmosphere and music. Level design and enemy design are also very good.
Exceedingly derivative of doom and the story/ ending leave a o be desired, but the gory fights are some of the most satisfying I've played in a retro style FPS so far
It's as if Doom (1993) was made today. This game is breath of fresh air in today's landscape. It starts. It ends. No grinding, no time-limited events etc. Just pure fun. I wish I got to this game much earlier instead of delaying it.
Fun campaign, lots of room for repeat playthroughs as is the case with most Boomer Shooters. The art style in this is really what makes it special. Think of it like someone took doom eternal and released it in 1999. Guns are all unique and feel great, levels are well designed and enemies are fun to kill. The sound design is fantastic as well. Would definitely pick this up if you liked Doom Eternal.
Bought this at 90% off, which is a steal. Another boomer shooter that I very much enjoyed... ...except for the ending. What was up with that?
un excelente juego de disparos, recomendadisimo
