I really do like this game back in 2016 but now whenever I get into a game whether it's ai or a person the game crashes whenever I switch the cam to the enemy's base or send units to fight. I would really love to play this game but it just crashes for me.
They not only decided to ruin their new game beyond repair… But now this game is borderline unplayable…. in the galactic war, more than ½ of fights, even when lasting less than 5 minutes, bug out and freeze up, as if the game is paused. I did not pause, the game refuses to un-pause… and only alt+f4 will fix it. don’t give these people any money, EVER!
Lol abandoned Industrial Annihilation.
This is greed dressed up as nostalgia. I have never actually completed a match, the game always crashed out. But then I found 'Beyond All Reason', which just works. So screw this game and its whole series of scam games. Can believe this trash is allowed to hang around and let steam sell Lemons.
I love this game. I love the look. I love how easy it is to play. I like watching replays of it. It just crashes to much. You'll be 10 minutes into a game and it will just crash. I bought a game expecting it work just like Beyond All Reason. Right out the box and into gameplay, but it seems like that just won't happen.
Its not possible to play multiplayer with friends without setting up a dedicated server and port forwarding, no steam networking
First things first (Hard negative) Always online launch contingent it has a single player and multiplayer but as I have a life, I tend toward Single player. For any game that is strictly multiplayer i understand the always online Play format becomes moot but for ones with a single player Campaign and Player vs Ai Skirmish mode With pausing included, Nay Pausing with Interaction and Command issuing permitted I dont see why you'd restrict the players ability to even launch the game if an internet connection is absent. its simply a hard negative on an otherwise fine game. Its a great RTS that strains ones ability to fight on multiple fronts given that its a Inter-Planetary scale involving Combined arms depending on the Solar system you choose. Custom one is you care to create them, I Do and so i learned early on and many times that this is one of those Computer Bottle-necked potential games you'll inevitably Run into slowdowns if you push it hard enough because theres no population, cap theres only 2 resources Metal & energy and the applicators of them your Worker drones which come in Land (Tank & Bot) , Sea, Air and satalites. this game Requires you to run the Titan units at some point if for no other reason than to simply cull the numbers to Reduce you CPU's heat. you'll choose difficulty settings not simply for ease of enemy but for Processing speed and Frame rate. its not a bad game, you can be quite challenged by it as its essentially a combined arms RTS in the extreme. you start as your Commander the strongest ground based unit until you build titans, you have to build iron harvests and power plants in equal production based off your consumption but theres 2 teirs of building types for every category. from there you have units that can or cant attack every other teir, you dont have to stick with any one group because the units are able to deal with eachother to decent effect with Navel being amongt the strongest while having the great limitations of most units being relegated to water and a few others being hovers. you'll startout landing on planet to build out your forces but while normally in any other RTS you're stuck in there for the long haul holding your ground against 1 or many opponents, since this includes space you can just Build a sat launch first thing, make a carrier unit and redeploy your commander onto a different planet, all together refusing your aponent the Lvl 1 vs lvl 1 battle and instead forfeit that progress (or hectic multi-Sidded slug match) for instead being utterly uncontested on another planet to build out and heavily fortify your forces and if your fast enough even Deny any Pursures land purchase as you shoot them outta the sky as soo as they hit atmo... allowing you to Skip tech stages entirely and simply fight on the Orbital teir from there on. While using combined arms is Superior given a stronger economy its Viable to relegate to just orbital if there is a gas Giant present... as long as you watch those nukes You can tell i prefer Free for all. theres also teamed battles, and lopsided teams if you choose them. you can even modify the Econ rate before entering the match to buff or debuff yourself or others, perhaps give an Inferior AI the raw econ power to hold on longer, a stronger AI penalty to ensure everyones survival.. or maybe you just want to see the Grey Goo apocalypse and give Q-Uber AI an Econ rate of 5 because you've yet to feel the urge to murder your computer with a hachet. theres a system designer built in, with an advanced (Per planet Format) aswell so you can choose to make a custom world with unique long spaning orbits. you could also set the orbits just right, intersecting at the correct angles that if the match would be draging on too long... well... its called planetary annihilation for a reason.. ( ^-^) ---( O ) >( x_x )< ( O )--- (-_- )
Fantastic game, but a bit dead in its player-count. It's the only modern RTS I've kept coming back to play when everything else disappoints.
