Not bad. It's pretty all around, things control pretty well, and generally feels polished. Puzzles are quite simple, but this isn't really a full-on puzzle game, so that's fine. My only gripe with the game is the bird can be pretty grating, and the text on the book is slightly blurry (perhaps a bigger font or putting things closer would help). The voiceover isn't too bad. There's a clear Chinese accent in the reading, but it's understandable. However, paired with the writing, it feels a bit dense. I ended up getting the theme of the game completely wrong. Note about locomotion: It's teleportation-only, and I feel you need to have a moderate-sized room, because some things are difficult to do without moving around. For example, there's a painting puzzle, and you need to dip a fairly long paintbrush into some cans of paint and then paint something with it, but it's slightly awkward to do if you just stand in one place. So if you're playing seated, you might have a bit of difficulty. Note about length: this experience should take you about 20-30 minutes (without the extra ending) if you don't make silly mistakes like I did.
This game is a puzzle VR game with only 3 puzzles included which I finished in 30 minutes TWICE (to apparently unlock a secret ending). Even though it was only 30 minutes, since the movement and mechanics in this game is pretty easy to learn, I can safely put this game on my lineup of games that I can demo with VR newbies. The puzzle are good, not too hard and not too simple. There's a bird that will give you obvious hints if you get stuck long enough on something. The background and ambient sound was good, the narrator has an obvious chinese accent which did his job pretty ok until he read the final credit and thank you for playing the game. Graphics looks really nice in VR (compared on the screenshots). Can supersample on a 980Ti up to 1.4 (last puzzle had a spot where it was pretty heavy rendering it), and up to 2.5 if you use async repro. All in all, solid game, ok price @ $5, would buy their next similar puzzle game like this again.
Picturesque is the right word for this one, it has a nice music and a good overall mood, but it remind me the very first demos in the Oculus DK era, it's an extremely simplified experience (game is a bit too much for what it offers) with a basic overall graphics too. Maybe I could be more forgiving a year ago, but today even for this very cheap price, I can't suggest it.
3 out of 10 Once completed there's no replay value unless others are going to have a go. The puzzles are mildly interesting, nothing difficult and suitable for children. I wouldn't recommend outside of a cheap VR bundle as it's a single play and forget title so the asking price is terrible value. If you we're to purchase through Steam you'd easily complete the game in one short go with an hour left to get a Steam refund.
The game is short, but solid. Got it in a bundle, it has 3 different scenarios with puzzles that are not to difficult. An interesting game to demo VR to your friends. Runs smooth on a HTC Vive/GTX 970/i5-2500k combination.
