Video (gameplay + commentary):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDzqfpCoO78
Review:
I enjoyed this game! It reminds me a lot of Blast Corps on the Nintendo 64 except in Destroy the World you don't have a time limit, so you can really enjoy just destroying every single tree and building in the vicinity. That, and there's multiplayer, though I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Each stage offers different venues of destruction and they're all fairly unique, ranging from farmland to a desert island to even somewhere in space. You also get several weapon unlocks as you play that allow you to destroy stuff in different ways. The game's execution is intentionally crude and politically incorrect, in that some of the stages allow you to commit some pretty big environmental atrocities or otherwise destroy creatures that might make some people wince, all while the game's accompanying laugh track blasts and the game show-like announcer commentates. I don't hold any of this against the game and actually find the game as a whole to be a pretty interesting commentary. Here's one thing I would take into consideration when thinking if this title is right for you -- the stages basically have one objective, which is to destroy everything. There's also no opposing force that shows up, nor is there (at the time of writing this) a time limit on any of the stages so it's essentially a leisurely experience of playing with unlocked weapons and exploring each stage to discover the often interesting and bizarre ways you can destroy an environment. If this is enough for you, I say go for it. But it's important to know the scope of the game before diving in. The game has some pretty fun music while you destroy stuff, and also each loading screen has what I THINK are actual factoids on various environmental impacts that humans have had on the planet. It's one more juxtaposition that makes you go, "huh" right before you proceed to melt the polar ice caps. In all I enjoyed the game. I hope the game continues to expand on its premise. I'd love to see more stages, more weapons, and new objectives.

In a total of 6 levels, the only level that you can fail and need to restart is the final one. While initially satisfying to look at and to play, the game becomes tedious at the end of levels. You will find that the game becomes repetitive with some questionable topics explored through the actual gameplay itself, with really strange on-screen sound effects and narrative commentary as if you are in a competition. I have a big issue with the extensive periods of looking for the final little bits of a level to destroy, before you can move on to the next level. You have to destroy everything before the game will consider your mission complete and letting you move on. Fortunately the maps are not too big, but each level involves no risk of failure or needing to reset except for the 6th level (final). During this time of purposeful but seemingly aimless wandering, the subjects being directly explored by this game will inevitably surface within one's mind. This happened to me, at least. In self-reflection while still playing because of these "down times," I started to wonder how I could even laugh at the massive destruction and killing, and it made me feel like a terrible person. So while the game was fun for a few minutes, it became gradually less so, the repetitive motions and the nature of the game made me more conscientious about my in-game actions. Then half hour later, I made my conclusions and decided to stop playing. I will not be going back to play more. Thus I cannot really recommend it to anyone else either.
Gameplay
Destroy every environmental object/living creature you see by walking up to it, bashing it, jumping and stomping, pooping explosives, using a flamethrower, or firing a massive elephant cannon/shotgun until the terraine is no longer recognizable. You have to destroy everything, otherwise the game does not let you continue. It offers no hints as to where the last pieces of environment that you need to destroy is located, so you are left wandering around until you find it.
Controls
Controls decently, I played with a controller.
Graphics
Nothing fancy, not bad either.
Audience
Casual players only, and that is if you don't mind the questionable subjects mentioned/alluded to within.
Pricing
0.99 USD, cheap
Positives
+Local coop up to 4 players +Controller support +Casual +Cheap
Negatives
-Getting the last bit of the levels takes so much time and fun out of it, with running, the pink blob moves too slowly -Despite above point, still less than one hour of content -Narrative commentary and programmed audience laughter at really odd times/places -The questionable topics within makes it weigh heavily on the mind, especially during the aftermath of destruction, and needing to find the final bit of the level to destroy -Very little replay value -Not really fun beyond the first few minutes
Conclusion
Destroy The World is one of those games that unfortunately tanked in fun value after the first few minutes for me. I played on to see what the rest of the game had to offer. The repetitive nature made me really self-conscious about my in-game actions, which unfortunately made me feel like a terrible person. I play games to have fun, and this game delivered that briefly then took it away as well. For that reason I cannot recommend this game, and I don't plan to go back for more. I recorded my entire time of playing in this video, take a look if you are interested: https://youtu.be/nW-FLXea9d0
I received the product for free. A fun little game, but ruined by: -Spending way too much time to find the last, impossible to see object to complete the level. -Being unable to lower the volume on the announcer and audience. I don't want to listen to either of them.
The idea of destroying stuff with a big blob is a good one, the graphics are about right and there's been some effort put into developing the game in the developers own style. There's one major flaw, you have to destroy everything and it actually feels like work looking for the last bits of building or trees that you missed on the first pass. Besides that its lazy, you can't customise anything and its ponderous... The games not as funny as it thinks it is, has absurd victory conditions, & has no achievements currently. After about fifteen minutes am bored with it and there's no incentive to play.

I made a video for the game, check it out if you want. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6VUU8fijFw&feature=youtu.be Ok this game is fun for what it is. All you really do is destroy everything with in the map to move on. You unlock different skills to unlock after each map and they are fun to use. This game did give me a "Rampage" vibe, but i wish you could do stuff like you could on rampage. Like pick up cars and throw them or squish the people running away. (there are no people just animals) Or even pick up a cow and throw it against the building. That would be great, and if they added like cops that show up and shot you or the military, tanks, jets, soldiers. I mean it makes no sense that nothing attacks you when you are literally trying to destroy earth. All of that would just add to the fun of the game. There are not allot of maps i finished the game in 50min and i was afk for around 10min while it was running so more like 40min, and it was over. If they added more maps and added more "Rampage" stuff to it, could make the game way more fun.
this is an extremely fun game with a cool animations
Fun little Game where you destroy the World. You destroy Houses, Cars, Animals, everything. (If you are an animallover or Greenpeace, don't play xP) For it's price, absolutely recommended. To vent, to just have some silly fun. Buy it!
Fun little game but there's not that much to it. If you just want to destroy stuff, you can do it here, audience laughter included.
Its the kind of web browser game, we use to play during school IT classes, to kill boredom. It was barely entertaining than, even less now.
