At last the third game in the Otoko Cross series has been released, and with it, my latest review. I saw a boy's pee pee.
Otoko Cross is my Call of Duty, except I've yet to be disappointed. If by some chance you've gotten this far without knowing what this series' deal is, think Punch-Out!! but instead of punching burly men you woo twinks with your incredible gaming skills until they show you their shaboingboing, much like one would in real life. Unlike its predecessors, this third entry opts for a more arcade-style game similar to Breakout and Touhou 1, and anyone familiar with either knows their biggest issues was lack of twink danglebits, which are in no short supply here. Honestly, the closest thing I could liken it to would be DSiWare, which I would consider a high compliment. It's a short, simple game with a couple different modes and things to do, without wasting your time with insane padding, which I find refreshing. Aside from the new boys, the biggest thing that sets this entry apart from its predecessors is how outfits are unlocked. Rather than each outfit being a reward for a specific level, you're instead granted points upon each level completion that you can use to unlock each boy's individual outfit, with the sluttier ones requiring more that the more modest, as one would reasonably expect. While I definitely think this change is a good one, I do have a couple issues with the system as it's currently implemented. While you'd assume the points for spending on outfits are tied to your performance in a level, they're actually fixed on a per-level basis, and the new Eternal Challenge (Endless) mode awards no points at all. Furthermore, your total spending points are only visible within the shop interface itself, which means needing to constantly swap between the actual game menu and dressing room when grinding for all the outfits (and lack thereof). Not a huge inconvenience by any means, but definitely an area that could be improved. While its progression may leave a bit to be desired and hopefully improved upon in later releases, we both know why we're here. We like seeing frail men whimper with a simple-but-engaging gameplay loop. With that being said, enjoy, and I'll see you when Otoko Cross 4 drops.
A new Otoko Cross game with more sexy boys than ever. Literally my ONLY complaint is that the "big ball" power-up only has gameplay effects and does not, in fact, increase the size of their balls in the art. 10/10. Faren is new best boy.
I have never locked in so hard in my life to see a femboy butt booty naked, it is peak modern gaming. - the real kojima

I beat the game and got all the achievements in 2.9 hrs. the good: - it's Interesting spin on the block breaking genre - reflecting the ball and enemy bullets at the right time gives you a boost which feels very good - character design and costumes are very well done - the characters say some things Japanese and in their native language - the unique enemies and turrets add a good challenge the not so good: - the voice acting is not awful but it leaves a lot to be desired - character voices aren't great, every characters voice actor has a different mic quality - the Japanese voice lines have a non Japanese accent - some of the nudity on the characters looks wrong / weird - music is nothing special I recommend you buy it at full price, its worth it.
Extremely fun Brick Breaker game with a high amount of depth and variety. I had a great time working on getting all the outfits and unlockables. The characters are very well illustrated and attractive! I can see myself coming back to this one for the various challenges as well as increasing ball speed. Great game and great franchise!
I had the opportunity to play this game before the official release! I played thought the entire game here: https://youtu.be/OGliunTNNAc But to sum up my thoughts here in a casual game review (don't worry, these are my honest thoughts regardless). The controls are very good, the physics work well and it is a lot of fun. The only two issues I have is that I did come across some glitches during my playthough (not gamebreaking or crashes) just some enemies getting stuck on obsticles and spinning nonstop (actually quite hilarious) and there is a glitch on the controls which causes the gallery mode and difficulty choices difficult to select (hopefully, they have been fixed by the time you buy it). The other issue (this is a nitpick), but who is the girl with the lightsaber that we play as? There is no context and the artstyle of the gameplay and the Otokonoko characters are different, so it does feel like a romhack of a different game. Especially since during gameplay, the characters don't strip into their outfits/naked like in the previous titles (which made the previous games more fun and titillating (which made the gameplay feel more unique)) so without that titulating... it sometimes doesn't feel have the erotic atmosphere as the other titles). There is a wardrobe mode, but that feels more like a special feature more than actual gameplay (it would've been fun if you could use the custom background/clothing for the endless modes, but that is randomised each playthough. But that choice would've made the Otokonoko feel less tact on and make the game feel less romhack-ish. It's an overall fun title, and for it's cheaper price point compared to other games, you cannot go wrong. If you are still unsure about the gameplay, you can watch the playthough I made of the game to see if it is of interest to you. PROS: Fun Gameplay (feels like Vortex from the iPod Nano and Breakout) Cute Otokonoko (alway a plus in my book! 9 cute boys! There is someone here for everyone!) CONS: Has elements that make it feel more like a romhack than an official OtokoCross title. Has some bugs (that'll hopefully be patched before the official release!)
