Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 24 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Occupy Mars is a technical, open-world sandbox, survival game about Mars colonization inspired by the most promising technologies and companies that are working towards the goal of humanity becoming a multi-planet species.
Explore different regions of Mars while searching for valuable resources, discover mining sites, and find the best place to build a city. Remember that you need to find a relatively leveled area with good access to underground water in a place where temperatures don't drop too much during the night.

Build and upgrade your base, craft equipment, mine resources, produce water, oxygen and food, explore an open world, and repair complex machinery in a technical survival sandbox.

Manage your energy production and build your electricity grid. Make sure that there is enough water, oxygen, power, and food to survive.

Fix broken parts using realistic electronic components and tools. Learn the basics soldering, using hot air, measurement tools, and all the details necessary to fix your equipment.

Upgrade your vehicles and equipment in your garage. Organize your workshop and modify your rover. Change crane hydraulics, operate the robotic arm, dig for valuable resources, build mining rigs, and more...

Build greenhouses, oxygen tanks, fuel generators, connect all the pipes and cables, and remember about proper cable management. Grow your own food.

Experience an open-world sandbox game with a realistic day/night cycle and overcome real challenges that colonists face. Build solar arrays and batteries for energy storage, upgrade them, and find the optimal way to power your colony.

Occupying Mars is not always easy. Sometimes things will explode, break or not go exactly as planned. Learn to cope with "Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly.” Sometimes you have to really act quickly before you run out of air, food, or energy.

...but most importantly HAVE FUN on Mars!

Occupy Mars is not a game to me, I see it as a high potential learning simulation. Its Not just for the bread and butter gamer who has only an hour at lunch times to roam mars and who enjoys this product as I do, it could be more a lot more, consider a real technical learning simulation as part of surviving a real mission ? . start small . In game learning modules of different levels with credits going to a Recognision of Achievement in the community by us the astronauts. There are thousands of real space career students out there in the real world who would love this simulation.maybe start with basic geology. Anyway this product is Great and I recommend it . Steve 45 +years Aerospace . Ps please give us 3 hours of daylight in game. Sorry for bad grammer.
Another indie survival game making the world a better place. Good for late night gaming when youre bored and alone

Played it years ago, followed it after the first demo was released. This is one of those games that really let me down. They have a great premises, but the follow through is abysmal. The game is riddled with bugs, and every update breaks more. It's a never ending cycles. Found out it was released out of EA, and I can honestly say the only difference I see is the added complexity for no apparent reason. The chemistry lab is so unnecessary, it feels like the devs just want you to spend more time in a game that's already pretty barebones. Once you've done everything, there is really no reason to continue. At the time of this writing, main story is still broken, driving physics are still atrocious, power is still crazy, and now they added RNG for a chemical lab that really doesn't deepen gameplay in the slightest. At this point, after spending 47 hours before the 1.0 release, and a few more hours after it, I think I can safely say this game isn't going to get much better. It certainly scratches an itch, but it's not deep enough that other games don't do it better. Grab it on a deep discount, have fun for a little while, then forget it.

What a waste of potential. Waited years for this game and the 1.0 release just feels like slop.
