I just finished a playthrough of Norse: Oath of Blood. When I am clapping my hands during the closing sequence you know it was a great experience. I purchased the game after watching a review by Splattercat. The link for his youtube channel is below: https://www.youtube.com/@Splattercatgaming Whenever I see "Mixed" reviews it always gives me pause. Been burned too many times... however recent reviews were positive and I'm pretty sure I got it on sale so I decided to give it a go. The good - Excellent Story. I felt like the game captured the essence of Norse culture and Mythology. - The graphics are beautiful! - Excellent soundtrack - There was no grinding of repetitive mission after mission to level up your Hirdsman. All of the missions were different and had unique goals and leveling felt natural. - The village building flowed nicely with the missions. - 33 hours of entertainment for around $20 is a bargain! - The ending was freaking awesome :D The not so good... None of the below were show stoppers by any means. - Wonky camera controls. I played on the PC . You have to use the Q and E key to rotate the camera while either using WASD to move or right click to move. There may be a way to change this in the settings but I didn't think about it while playing. The vertigo was real... - Not that this is an entirely bad thing... but understanding how the village projects work with your characters ,what to build and why are not very clear and it took me about half way through my playthrough before I finally figured it out. Then again it kind of fits in with your main character having to just figure it out ;) - Sometimes after a cut scene or at the end of combat the characters get somewhat stuck in a jittery step. All of the instances worked themselves out but it still caused me some palpitations. - In combat having the spacebar end a characters turn caused a number of "NOOOOOO!" situations. Again maybe you can change this in settings This is a really great game, Enjoy!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

" ..nop .. just kill and not even loot them or meat from them i think .. - we go on , gets to the big moose - elk , shoot and another guy shoot it first , gets the kill ,- we talk , there is bad guys nearby, we need to kill them first before he joins . alright .. but what about the big elk .. call the nearby with horn to pick it up. nop .. just leave it there.. pick it up later not even put it in the hunters hut 5 meters away .. wtf .. oh . also we just landed here..got nothing but shield and sword on us . we raid a full camp of bandist in for 5 mintues and save hostages.. do we keep any of the gear or tents.. matarial laying around .. l- nop .. okay.. we start to build our town .. food first sure .. but not really ? ..and some woman talks smack about why we didten do that first . fishing .. oh well. okay.. so what about defends around the place.. simple wood. spikes or some . better yet , 1 or 2 ., watch towers . so while a team of 4-5 is away , the rest can be at camp , be at look out .. nop . not doing that either .. like wtf !! i am so angry with lack of logic and reason , for a new group of vikings , starting a villiage , building it up , yet fails the most basic half the time .. leaving stuff behind and so on . am i taking it to serius , maybe .. but come on man ! .. i really love the game otherwise.. the humour , the writing and such ... but the constant lack of .. not doing whats needed to do for starting a viliage and keep safe is driving me mad its like saying , oh 10 big logs, lets build a house or walls but no instead , they go cut down 10 trees and make chairs instead .. .. i will try get trough it .. but so far , that i cant look past and will give negative,. a shame ! course there seam to be alot of acting going in to it and gameply to .. so oh ., also ! alot of UI bugs .. wtf ..
The first thing that really caught my attention in NORSE: Oath of Blood was the cutscenes. They immediately pulled me into the game, and from there, the story itself kept me hooked. Everything feels very well made and structured, from the storytelling and characters to the way the world and missions are put together. I also really enjoyed the base building and management. At the beginning, it is definitely worth spending some time farming and developing your soldiers. Once you get them stronger and start getting better equipment, the battles become a little easier and much more enjoyable. Speaking of equipment, the items and rewards you can find through the side missions are another thing I really liked. Exploring the optional content actually feels rewarding, and it gives you good reasons to take your time instead of rushing only through the main story. The tactical combat is satisfying, the Viking atmosphere is great, and I really enjoyed how all the different systems come together. Nothing feels completely out of place, and the game does a great job of keeping you interested from one mission to the next. Of course, there are a few things that could still be improved and polished, but honestly, they didn't take away from my overall experience. For me, NORSE: Oath of Blood is a very well-made game with a great story, beautiful cutscenes, enjoyable tactical combat, base building, progression and plenty of things to discover. Highly recommended! 10++ from me. 🛡️⚔️ If you enjoy Viking games, tactical RPGs and story-driven adventures, definitely give this one a try!
This is a RARE GEM! I have giving my oath in blood to revenge my fathers death. May Odin shine upon us! ALL positive comments get a thumbs up and gift emoji!
I really wanted to like this game, bought it on day 1 and was excited to play. There were alot of performance issues on launch and to be honest the game seemed so small in scale and time to beat. I have waited for consistent updates and MAYBE some more content given the crazy price of $45, but ofcourse there has been next to nothing. performance fixes and nothing else. Cannot recommend this game unless it is steeply discounted.
While my experience was generally positive, there are some graphical bugs. I had one crash. I also kept hearing the windows "disconnect" sound because it was putting my GPU under heavy load and the computer was toggling off the USB ports to manage power. It isn't a bad game, but it's short. When the game really starts taking off, it's over. I liked the game but it isn't worth the retail price they're asking. 19.99 with the current level of content and unpolished state. This game should be early access, tbh.
This game is an absolute mess. Its a display of amateur game design, poor writing, and clunky interface. I had high hopes for this, it looked great but playing it is like sliding down a sandpaper firepole naked. I'd honestly rather be working than trying to navigate this mess of a game. Its really disappointing, if only the developers knew what they were doing and had basic knowledge of game design.
good game but bad optimization
Can't even make it to gameplay, get a fatal error while watching the first intro video.... disappointing.
