Reviews
Great and multi-layered combat. Emotional story with deep lore. Banger soundtrack. I was scared of the multiple playthough approach but in the end, even that was fine (although I am still not a big fan of it). The biggest issue were screen freezes, which caused me to waste quite a bit of time replaying since last saves. But overall, the game is great. Enough so that I plan to play the prequel and delve deeper into the lore in the future.

Overall fantastic experience with a few flaws. Gameplay is fast and fluid, letting you dodge at anytime so you can cancel out of basically all animations. Coming from something like Dark Souls it feels kind of weird never having to commit to your attacks and can make combat feel kind of floaty. This is definitely just a personal preference thing though. The game has three campaigns to play through but the first and second playthroughs are super similar - by far the worst part of this game. The narrative and theming are way better than you'd expect for a game like this. It's a must play if you want a game that actually has something to say that goes beyond the shallow messages that most games convey. Also its probably got one the best soundtracks in gaming.
