Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 8 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 24: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Really nice game. They improved most of the major flaws from MHS1 (better genes management, rock-paper-scissor strategy, breaking parts of monsters, smooth flying, ONLINE COOP...) BUT Story is still simple. Gameplay is still repetitive. So I would not recommend it to someone who did MHS1 as there are not enough differences between the two games.
This is my first Monster Hunter Stories game thanks to a friend who gifted it to me. I can say without a doubt that the first 8ish hours of the game got me hooked.
Overall, an improvement compared to the first game: better story, (still sucks), better characters (still meh), better combat system, better monstie system, and so on. 8/10, would recommend
Surprisingly good. Mix of old school turn based JRPG, monster hunter, and monster rancher/pokemon. Worth it if you get it on sale, and id say kinda worth even off sale. My only real criticism is that its held back by being developed main for the extremely weak system like the switch. I'd like to see what this dev team can do with stories, but not restricted to mainly developing around the limitations of the switch.
it's alright
JOGÃO DA PORRA
just finished both of these game I really enjoyed it. it isnt really hard of a game nor is it too ez. while mhs1 is really an old game it still quite enjoyable even though it lacks some qol. Mhs2 then polish the gameplay even better in addition with more qol. the story of the first game isnt that deep its quite cliche ig like its a shounen story. mhs2 storytelling is better than the first one. also mhs2 brings back the cast from the first game but they are all grown up and matured and by playing the first game you will appreciate the cast of the 2nd game more. these games also have endgame content if you really want to play after finishing the main story. If you like the MH franchise or trying to get into it, its a cozy game to pick up and play!
