Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 8 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

MC's useless for like 70% of the story, but I'd still recommend cuz of KYLE THE GOAT. ABSOLUTE CINEMA

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 24: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Whenever I played a MH game in the past, I also wondered what it would like to live alongside these magnificent creatures instead of constantly trying to kill them. What would it be like to soar through the skies on an elder dragon, not trying to stab it in the back as I cling on for dear life, but as companions! Well MHS2 answers that perfectly and I absolutely love (almost) everything about it!! I love how, despite the very different approach towards handling monsters and co-existing as part of the wider environment, this feels so much like a Monster Hunter game still. While being a Rider, we get to see so much of the outside world beyond the Rider settlements and way of life, and they react to it as well. This is not like some other games where you are very different to the locals but still just get generic NPC statements like "Oh how's your day?". Here, much of the world reacts to and treats u like someone different, because u are compared to theirs, where the default stance is to hunt monsters down rather than try to live and work alongside them. This is made very clear in the opening parts of the game, and sticks throughout (though some things change due to story reasons I won't spoil), which makes the whole world feel so alive!! The story itself is also really great, though I didn't play MHS1 before this so I don't know how well it follows up from that game. But what there is here can be enjoyed by itself and is very good. My only minor story gripe here is that at the very end, it feels like we adopted a more "Hunter" type solution to the problem than what I was hoping a Rider would try to do. Gameplay itself is also awesome and I love how our Monsties (our Monster Companions here) are treated as full fledged party members rather than someone fully subordinated and ultimately inferior to our main human / wyverian characters. These are monsters, the likes of which can shoot lightning, soap bubbles and even, having adapted to a harsh world where they need every advantage to survive. I'm glad that their combat strength reflects this, with them basically being the main dmg dealers of our parties. They are also incredibly customisable with all the gene combos available, especially once u start heading into Expeditions of the Silver and Gold variety since thats where u get the really juicy genes and monsters like Elder Dragons! I also really appreciate how AI companions are built into the game if u can't find someone else to join your co-op Expedition. Since its an old game, this is quite helpful to have when a lot of the fights are actually balanced around your side having 3 - 4 units (2 humans / wyverians and 1 - 2 monsties). There's also so much content to do here in the story and after it! Special hunts (with big bosses like Fatalis) and even dungeons with high rank monsters for us to face off against! Overall this is such an awesome addition to the MH franchise and I'd love to see so much more of Riders and their Monsties in this new sub-franchise and hopefully in the mainline games as well!! Also please let us pet our monsties outside of combat in future games, or at least have fun interactions like how I can hug and bounce on my Seikret's tail in MH:W!! UwU
