⠀
Too woke
Art is cute but combat is too simplistic, was hoping something like Ender Lilies, it's nothing like that. Shallow combat, not fun for me
This is at best a 6/10. I had maybe fun with this game for 2-3h, for a 5h long game. Very low to mid tier game - it is too often just boring and annoying. - Combat is usually just attack smashing, with rare dodge/parry in between. - Combat against bosses is the worst part. There are two pattern. Either: Attack smash from behind the boss and dodge behind the boss if they turn around. Or: Attack smash from the back and switch to parry smash for some of their attacks. And they have huge health bar, which makes a 30s fight with 3-4 boss moves to a minutes long endurance game. Easily the most annoying and boring part of the game. - Exploration is a waste of time, since everything that you find is kinda useless. - Barely a Metroidvania. Only two unlockable skills, which you only need 2 (?) times each in total to access an otherwise unapproachable area. Otherwise the game is very linear and new area gets unlocked by killing a boss. - Areas feel always the same, since they reuse exactly (?) the same building blocks several times (I was thinking several times "haven't I been here already" and then when I looked at the map to find out if I was walking in circles it turns out it is not in fact the same area).
My rating 6/10 Almost a negative review, but not quite It’s a mid tier Metroidvania that scratches the itch for a Metroidvania, but doesn’t really do anything unique for the genre Looks pretty, very shallow
Good game, and if you've followed the Momodora series, this one is a huge lore drop. Most people see it as just another Metroidvania, but Bombservice has always done more than that. Follow Kaho's journey in (Reverie Under the Moonlight), then experience (Moonlit Farewell) with Momo and you'll realize just how much worldbuilding has been happening beneath the surface. Minoria isn't part of the same universe, but it carries many of the same themes and storytelling style, making it feel like a spiritual companion to the series. I love this franchise because of those subtle undertones. Playing it just because it's a Metroidvania is like expecting water to taste like soda, you'll miss what makes it special.
Really basic metroidavania, shallow story, but fun for about eight hours, learn the dodge/ parry curve and it will be accessible.
jogo curto mas muito bom.
muito rapido para terminar a historia
