For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I decided to give this another go. It may have ciicked. It isn't a bad game by any means. The idea of towns and new cities as autonomous vassals takes away the micromanagement of early game development. Selecting the bonuses of each government and age can be fun and once you've got your head around the various 'point accumulation/spend' systems it starts to come together. After a while even the dreadful combat screens grew on me (wonky animations and all). I still haven't mastered the crisis and age systems which ends up with me being channelled down a path I do not want. As time goes on the tribute demands from your opponents become ever more ridiculous. So far, the AI seems absolutely bonkers. There are some stats to give me an idea of why it's so fickle - but having just come out of a 200 years war with the Greeks (which they started) I thought we'd resolved our differences once they started showering me with gifts but no. Apparently every so often they go into sulk, start blasting my units on neutral territory and the whole merry cycle starts off over again. I had no option but to take steps to exterminate them for good as for a fellow player they're no fun to keep around. The Aztecs decided to push their luck and have a go anyway. Apparently just because I left them alone. Fighting a battle with overwhelming opponents on two fronts? Even with the forced 'truce' option (which doesn't last anywhere near as long as it should and is void of any conditions) it's only a matter of time before my empire is reduced to rubble. And as the other AI's are sniffing blood, it's a huge pile on. Like any 4x game it suffers from mid-late game micromanagement as you try and balance the different parts of your empire which for me included churning out units to fight on multiple battlefields. As things start to expand the turn rate starts to lag - it's not frustrating yet but it is noticeable. Clicking through the upgrades on the map (helpfully highlighted with little green arrows) can start to get tedious. So yes, a thumbs up on sale. The mechanics can be annoying. I wouldn't say its better than Civ (fanboy) but as a 4x it's good enough and worth a play. Original Review______________________________________________________________ I think I'm too rooted in the Civ gameplay (or too much of a fanboy - take your pick) but I really struggled to get into this. Some of the static art is great but simple things like being able to rotate the map are noticeable by their absence. Music/sound is serviceable. The map graphics of the cities and units are functional. They won't blow you away but they're not dreadful either. However the battle scenes (sadly) are atrocious - I think I would have preferred a red/green bar to the sound of sword/shield or gunfire to poorly rendered units running across the screen to poke each other before running back again. And yes you can skip it, I'd just rather it wasn't there in the first place. And it was too easy for me to click through turns and miss information which is oddly in the top right of the UI. The mechanics of the game are ok - but I don't see it as a big departure from other 4x games. Easier to get into than Humankind but I still had more fun in Ara: History Untold. As a 4X game it's probably a decent alternative, but given the option I'd stick with Civ every time (and tbh with the sale discount there's no reason not to go with it). Had there been opportunity to play a demo - I think there used to be one - I probably would have stayed away from the final product. Sorry to thumb it down - as it's a first game from a new developer. Reading the reviews on here and youtube the game really does strike a chord with some. Unfortunately I'm not one of them.
Too random. It claims to be a historical game but just attaches real-world names to random game objects with no attempt to relate to reality. The Canadians might be fighting the Egyptians next to Mount Fuji in the year 7500 BC. As in Civilization, the AIs just declare war randomly at the drop of a hat. I don't think I have enough patience to stick out a game and see if they also cheat the same way those in Civ did. The mechanics are slightly different from Civ, in ways that might be interesting to some, but might also just be overly complicated. I'm on my third or fourth attempt at playing a game now, and I don't think I'll finish. I can see myself uninstalling this soon.
this game is a major breathe of fresh air for me . had become burnt out with the civ series in general and really nothing else out there i found enjoyable . definetly recommend and hope they do continue to fine tune and add more content
The game is great, but falls short on three things. Graphics - Sadly, those do matter. Rather repulsive promo art - Seriously, what's that obsession with skulls? Slow windup - The game mechanics unlock as you advance in the game, but it is not clearly communicated to the player from the beginning, so the game looks almost primitive (since you start in the stone age) at the start.
你他媽更新呢?
