It is the year 2034. Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within. Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above.

- - - Was macht die Redux-Version anders? Gute Nacht :)
8/10 This game absolutely tazed me in the balls for 5 straight hours. Its a pretty good and fun shooter, but far too hard for my sorry ass, I also ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate the spiders.
THE peak of gaming
Nota Geral | Overall Rating
Metro: Last Light takes everything that made the first game work and refines it without losing its essence. 4A Games could have turned the sequel into a more conventional, more palatable shooter, but chose to keep the tense, oppressive survival proposal that defined Metro 2033, just with far superior technical polish. It's rare to see a sequel expand the experience without betraying what made the original special, and that's exactly what Last Light delivers.
Jogabilidade | Gameplay
Combat is more fluid and responsive than in the first game, but the survival essence remains intact. Military ammo as currency is still there, forcing that constant decision between firepower and economy. What really evolves is the stealth system: shooting out lightbulbs, hiding in the dark, and checking your watch to calculate how much longer your invisibility lasts makes every human encounter a matter of planning, not just reflexes. Mutant confrontations remain chaotic and genuinely tense, especially in the underwater sections and areas infested with creatures you only notice when it's already too late.
The campaign keeps the lean length that worked so well in the first game, between 10 and 12 hours of a well-paced journey. There are no filler moments or padding missions, every station and every stretch of tunnel has a narrative or mechanical purpose. It's a length that respects the player, delivering a complete experience without artificially stretching screen time.
Enredo | Story
Last Light continues Artyom's story shortly after the events of the first game, and the decision not to retcon Metro 2033's "bad" ending is bold and rewarding. The war between the Alliance and the Red Line gets more spotlight, and the game uses it to explore themes of fanaticism, survival, and the human cost of war in a way that rarely feels forced. Artyom's relationship with the characters who join him along the journey, especially Anna, gives an emotional weight the first game hadn't explored as deeply. The final climax, once again dictated by your actions, ties the duology together in a satisfying and coherent way.
Visual
The visual leap from the first game is huge. Dynamic lighting, particle effects in the radioactive haze, and the level of detail in the stations make Last Light one of the most beautiful games of its generation. The surface sequences, with snow falling over Moscow's ruins, and the flooded tunnel areas create striking visual contrasts. The mutant design also got a notable upgrade, making every creature more threatening and more detailed than in the previous game.
Audio
The sound design maintains the first game's standard of excellence and even improves in some areas. The echo of the tunnels, the muffled sound underwater, and the distant roars of mutants keep building that constant tension. The soundtrack is used with the same surgical restraint, coming in only at moments that truly need emotional weight or tension. The Russian voice acting with subtitles remains the definitive experience, delivering an authenticity that reinforces the devastated world the game builds.
