Another one of those game everybody says is good but have never actually beat/100% completed it. If you try to get all the achievements for this game you will quickly realize it's just random garbage game design. They made a short game impossible to beat. Not going to play the same missions on the same map over and over again for 50 hours to unlock all this tedious ♥♥♥♥. Wish I could refund this glad I played it before MGS4 came out on Steam almost made a bad decision and bought that game. I hate these games. It really ruined my day trying to play this mess of a game. 0/10 TRASH

You play one mission over one night with checkpoints between to save your progress, it's not a significant chunk of time detailing MSF's operations after Peace Walker leading up to the base's destruction or before MGSV's opening scene. I had fun and all but this really shouldn't be a 20$ separate game from MGSV when it only acts as a prologue.
Once you play it, that's kinda it unless you're looking to 100% it. I might buy it again to do so because I love trying to hit 100% on my games, but it's not really worth it if you're looking to play casually or for the plot.

Steamdeck here, there is a video file that crashes and exits the game at the end of the first/main mission preventing you fro unlocking the extra missions... my solution was to just rename the file, or remove it and it works. Its a trailer for mgsV the phantom pain, so if someone can fix that then great....

Is Ground Zeroes good? Yes, it is. Is it worth it on it's own? Hell no. You get a few hours of gameplay in total including the optional content and compared to The Phantom Pain the potential playtime is not even close. Imo TPP is better in every single way but if you get the MGSV Definitive Edition (which there is basically no downside to) then you get GZ included and then definitely play it. Sure, TPP expands on basically everything but this is basically just more of MGSV and it gives a little nice prologue story. It's good, but buying it on its own is something I would never recommend.

full game for only 1 mission i mean i can go youtube and watch it, i only bought it for the trophies if you just want the story before starting mgsv just go watch it you dont need to buy this ♥♥♥♥
