Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.14/day in the week to Jul 22 → 49.38/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It’s a great looking game story is interesting gunplay is satisfying just disgustingly boring metas and overall almost entirely ran by stacked squads solo is camp fest and fills isn’t horrible just I think there should be gear based matchmaking cause how do I go in purple loadout and get two free kits idc if your level 200 diamond 1 that’s not helping me in a fight against a gold squad if your a one shot fest hitting them with wet noodles sometimes you can get the jump but either they learn or those players just don’t bring in gear
Bungie invested in the wrong game.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Dead game lol
When you get to engage with the maps and the world at your own pace, Marathon is incredible. But Marathon is also frustrating in how its systems, as currently designed and implemented, don't really survive the hardcore audiences that the extraction and PVP shooter genres normally attract. The incentive structures and design choices that essentially force you to kill every runner you come across on sight are overwhelming. This runs directly counter to the emergent and player driven gameplay at the heart of extraction games. The game was marketed and branded as an extraction shooter. You can see why someone would be frustrated or not have fun with Marathon when most raids play out like Apex rather than Tarkov. Marathon is like a movie that had tons of production issues, including last minute rewrites. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but the most important thing is the stitching on whatever comes out at the end of production can't be visible. Unfortunately, you can see and feel the friction of the arena BR elements that were stitched on top of the extraction base. A permanent PVE mode in the style of Tarkov PVE add-on seems like a no-brainer, including being playable top to bottom solo. To conclude: I'm frustrated. I want to explore Tau Ceti and dig through crates. I want to smack some UESC around and maybe see an alien or two. I'm a sicko. I want to love Marathon. The technical pieces and art direction that make up the foundation of a great game are there. But the harsh reality is that pushing towards a greater BR arena style in the extraction shooter mix was an interesting but flawed idea to get Marathon out of production hell and across the finish line; it just doesn't work overall. 6/10, a tentative hold recommendation. Will revisit my review when whatever the PVE thing that's being cooked up for S3 is out.
C'est long à faire, très long même. Personnellement, cela m'a dégouté d'y jouer. Je n'y retournerai pas.
Aside from the social media hate campaigns against this game, it contains some of the most fun fps gameplay however there is no depth to the game whatsoever so there is not much of a reason to play the game after 20 hours or so. Although fun, the entire gameplay loop is extremely repetitive. Not much to do other than killing people, taking their loot, and doing repetitive seasonal quests and I expected more from Bungies entry into the extraction shooter genre due to their previous titles (Destiny & Halo) gameplay loops/depth resulting in the success of those games long term.
An exceptional experience. I don't really understand the vitriol being spewed over it. The game is a blast. This is the only extraction shooter I've played where getting killed and looted after a 15 minute drop doesn't feel devastating, yet exfiltrating feels exhilarating. The learning curve is moderate and very approachable for casuals like myself. The action is intense and easy to find, and the art/world/lore/production is incredible and inspired.
Get woke. Go broke.
Junk game
Okay. So in general it's the best FPS shooter I've played in my life. And it's no match. Why? Fantastic gunplay, pretty wide tactical options and choice of weaponry, thrilling PVP, and freaking awesome maps. (Cryo is a literally a masterpiece) Visuals are sick, sound design is even better. If you understand the essence of the game you will have a great time (I needed around 100 hours to get a hand of it). But the more time you invest in the game, more details are revealed to you. If you want to try hard the ♥♥♥♥ out of this game - you can do it, and you will be rewarded. If you want to just run around and have fun fights without caring about gun building or implant choices - it's definitely a possibility as well, you are gonna like it. The game has a huge potential in my opinion. If it will not decay in couple of months or a year, it will be even greater game. Minuses: - Kinda bad UX/UI - Low player count - No onboarding (the game just throws you into, and you have to figure out a lot of things by yourself). So if you are just starting, go get someone to help you with some fundamentals - Bugs - And awful start of the season 2 And yeah. You will have a hard time if you don't know how to read, and if you care about pixels in your inventory more than the fun aspect - you won't like it for sure.
