About

Astro Hunters VR is a PvPvE extraction shooter set in space. Immerse yourself in the exploration of a unique planet, fight with different enemies, craft, gather resources, and upgrade your weapons. But remember, there are also other hunters on the planet. Will you ally, fight, or betray - it's up to you!
Become one of the mercenaries called Hunters and help the Mothership achieve its objectives on the hostile planets. Undertake dangerous missions and challenge other players and in exchange freely scavenge the planets. You can join forces with other players, but be careful, hunting down other players to seize their valuable equipment is also an option! Going on an expedition comes with a high reward if you find valuable items, but it’s also high risk - if you die, you lose everything you have with you!
Collect resources such as gases, liquids, metals, and others. Each of the resources has its special gathering tool. Use the collected items to craft new and better equipment. The Mothership provides you with crafting stations, on which you can craft inhalers, weapon parts, ammo and more. Do you want to store them, sell for good money, or trade with other players? The choice is yours!
Gather a diverse range of weapons: pistols, rifles, rocket launchers, machine guns, shotguns, and snipers. Upgrade stats and customize them with elemental modifications: fire, plasma, electricity, and acid. Beware of other players lurking on the planets for your loot. To avoid being left with nothing, store some of them in your storage room to be ready for your next expedition.
Take up the challenge and fight for the loot on the uncharted territories of a unique planet, brimming with diverse landscapes, challenging terrains, and protected bases full of precious items. Discover a wealth of resources, hunt, and engage in an intense fight against a multitude of enemies each presenting distinct challenges.
Become one of the Hunters, and be the best!

This game was a lot fun when I used to play it. This studio has a patten of not completely finishing their games and starting the next project. Survival Nation and Astro Hunters VR are pretty fun. I do not see myself buying another one of ther products again though. We never got the second planet we were promised in the Early Access Roadmap. On a deep sale, its good for several hours of fun. They lied to us on launch too....said it was a full 1.0 release...while they added content and fixed bugs along the way of the first year after launch. The devs were quite friendly/interactive on their discord. Too bad they can't finish a product before starting the next.
You can see that there are some interesting ideas at play but in its current state I would advise not purchasing the game. The inventory management is very clunky and unintuitive, it needs a pretty drastic overhaul as accessing and equipping items feels overly tedious. Also, gun models clip into your vision when aiming, meaning you can see parts of the internal model which should never happen. I would like some in-depth gun customization (attachments, replacing barrels/receivers/etc) which will help the game loop of explore, discover, loot more engaging. Exploration is fun but the AI is incredibly lackluster and there is a TON of texture and model pop-in. Enemies constantly spawn around you even after clearing an encampment which makes the difficulty overly punishing. There is very little to no onboarding/tutorialization that helps new players understand the systems and mechanics. I can definitely see myself playing this more if the devs put in the effort and attention to make this game more playable and immersive. I would also like some sort of overarching narrative/story (it doesn't have to be that deep) that helps add context to your actions and further immerses you.
So disappointing! 1. It's a complete rip-off of Yager's The Cycle — which failed and died. 2. The most important mechanics are broken and buggy: weapons don't work, they dance in your hands, making it impossible to trust your aim and movement, sometimes your weapon freezes on reload and never recovers. 3. When you walk too close to a wall or even some objects, it all becomes pitch dark and you completely lose your sense of direction. 4. A lot of things are incomplete: There are shops and areas on the spaceship that are empty, the scenery on the planet is super rough and unfinished, as are some of the mobs. 5. If this were a beta, I'd be excited, but as a game, it's not worth any money.
Game is very rough around the edges. Has potential but some things need a lot of work. The shotgun feels absolutely terrible to hold onto and aim. The AI is incredibly stupid. Janky interactions with guns. Currently I don't recommend this game. But I encourage you to keep an eye on it if you find it interesting. I'm not giving up on the game but for now, I say pass.
Surprenant me direz-vous ?
OK Editing my review after 10 hours. I almost didn't buy this game because of negative reviews on steam but happy i still gave it a try. I am really enjoying exploring the open world they gave us, its pretty big. I also really enjoy the different ways you can collect resources whilst on the planet. The Mother ship home base is well put together too, giving you somewhere to store and craft stuff. The unlocks are pretty enticing and make you want to grind them out. The aliens have pretty dumb AI but they can still be challenging at times when they group up. There are some really fun weapons you can use against them, such as a grenade that brings down a air strike where it lands. I don't mind the gun play either, just be sure to try out all the guns and find one that suits your play style. Overall, I am really enjoying this game and can see myself getting a lot of value out of the money I paid. My only slight gripe is the fact that you only know your mission when you arrive on planet (as far as I can tell anyway). Would be nice to know before so I can plan the weapons to take.
its been a fun game when it works right, as of 1/10/25 enemies are clipping through all terrain and able to damage you but you cant hurt them, hands randomly disappear and the only fix is loading screens, grabbing weapons from the hip your hand and gun stick in air and you have to drop and pick it back up to fix it, memory leak issues after 20 minutes of play resulting in random stuttering, graphic settings need to be full unlocked so users can change them as needed and turn them up with top of the line hardware, cant wait for a new map, volcano is getting really boring lol
Very fun and very straightforward with gameplay, It has a lot of replayability and a very big open world to explore. Final verdict: 4/5 Would recommend. Is easy, fun, and addicting to play. I can't wait to see what this game has in store for the future!

First Impressions I went in expecting a finished product, and I was excited to try it out. Visually, the game impressed me right away—looks great and has a solid vibe.
Initial Bugs Dropping down for my first mission, I immediately ran into issues. My sniper rifle bugged out right from the start: it started floating, wouldn’t hold with my left hand, but my right hand could still shoot it.
Movement Issues I can handle some bugs, so I kept going. But then came the movement. It’s somehow super inconsistent—sometimes I’d sprint full speed, then slow down, then speed up again, randomly. I couldn’t get any control over it, and I couldn’t find any settings to fix it. Final Thoughts Right now, I can’t recommend this game. Refunded, And I’ll check back on it in the future.
