Two larger-than-life heroes, Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu are brought together by the hand of fate, or perhaps something more sinister… Live it up in Japan and explore all that Hawaii has to offer in an RPG adventure so big it spans the Pacific.

Huge improvement on the battle system compared to its predecessor (Like A Dragon 7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness) which allows you to move and position your characters for the best efficiency of skill usage. Sometimes the battles may not be in your favour due to enemy movements that will turn back attack to proximity bonus. On the good side, certain encounters can be fast-tracked by pressing L2/LT button if your party members are overleveled. Minigame bloat may or may not be your cup of tea due to some references related to creature collection genre, not to mention, island building like in Animal Crossing. The Sidestories (sidequests) are enjoyable and wholesome. The story felt like a lackluster due to its slow burn nature during the prologue and its first few chapters and comparing it to the predecessor's title, the story of LAD8 felt rushed. The plot felt too predictable every time the story progresses, putting the whole party at risk.
Versão Aprimorada do Like a Dragon, Jogão Incrível, muita coisa para fazer, historia impecável, jogabilidade aprimorada, Super recomendo!
Amazing game honestly RGG studio most polished game to date. Very good story which is also beefy ( 50 plus hours alone ) and the combat is more refined than LAD 1. Highly recommend this game to anybody not just the series fans.
this is the better verison of 7 everything that was wrong with 7 was made better in 8 cant wait for 9 to come out
Overall a good game, and a major gameplay improvement from Yakuza: Like a Dragon. But I just cannot get hooked into the story. I don’t know if this is only happening to me, but I just can’t get interested in it. Everything feels so boring. Feels like I’m going from point A to point B just to watch an hourlong cutscene, enter a battle that lasts under two minutes, watch another hourlong cutscene, get forced into side content, then repeat. And of course I can’t forget to mention WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ IS NEW GAME PLUS LOCKED BEHIND DLC!?
