not working on meta quest 3

artificially locked to certain headsets, in my experience this loads on modern headsets but only says "this headset is not compatible" in floating text in a black void

L.A. Noire is a good game, this VR port is OKAY though leaves a lot to be desired. Too bad this is going to be Rockstar's only VR game on the market as any new VR game by Rockstar has been cancelled because Meta/Facebook sucks ass at doing anything. if you do buy this (why even at sale price, it's not worth it). you're going to download a bunch of open vr dlls from everywhere and 90 - 100% of the time it won't work, and with the ever risk of this games activation keys going redundant, I'd avoid this game with a 5ft pole. I've had better luck with Fallout 4 VR and that's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess. Even if it works for you, you have to deal with the Rockstar Games Launcher and that is... just terrible. it's very annoying because you launch it in SteamVR and you HAVE to interact with the UAC prompts at your computer. Even then. this game got delisted once on Steam because the Activation Keys/CD Keys were redundant and you weren't allowed to play this game AT ALL even purchasing it on Steam or Oculus (god forbid you do that)

One of the highest quality VR games out there. So underrated. Works on quest 3, people out there trying to run it on a potato its your own fault. Rockstar killed it. Theres so much interactivity with items and so much detail.

Driving in this game is so awesome that I cackle like a maniac as I careen through the streets of LA. Those are some tiny shotgun shells, though.

Ich hatte L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files schon ewig auf meiner Wunschliste und habe dann im Sale zugeschlagen. Auch wenn mir die knapp 15 € persönlich eigentlich schon etwas zu viel sind – ich bereue den Kauf absolut nicht. Ich habe das Spiel ehrlich gesagt aus Langeweile gekauft, weil es im VR-Bereich aktuell oft eher „meh“ ist… aber hier kann ich nur sagen: PUH – das Ding hat mich echt überrascht! Zur Einordnung: Ich bin eigentlich kein Fan von Mafia- oder GTA-ähnlichen Spielen. Das ist normalerweise einfach nicht mein Genre. Aber dieses Spiel hat mich trotzdem komplett abgeholt. Es fühlt sich teilweise wie ein GTA in VR an, so wie wir es uns 2026 wünschen würden – und das, obwohl das Spiel schon von 2017 ist. Umso weniger verstehe ich, warum es in diese Richtung nichts Neues mehr gibt. Die Steuerung funktioniert richtig gut. Man kann sich bewegen (ja, auch smooth locomotion – auch wenn oft behauptet wird, das geht nicht → siehe mein Video 😉). Allgemein fühlt sich alles sehr rund und durchdacht an. Was mich am meisten überrascht hat: Ich wollte einfach mal testen, wie weit ich gehen kann – und anscheinend kann man sich frei auf der Karte bewegen, ohne ständig gegen unsichtbare Wände zu stoßen oder zurückgesetzt zu werden. Das habe ich so in VR wirklich selten erlebt. Das gibt einem ein richtig starkes Freiheitsgefühl. Die Missionen an sich sind natürlich vorgegeben, aber das Drumherum macht einfach Spaß. Die Welt fühlt sich lebendig an und die Interaktionen sind top umgesetzt. Technischer Hinweis: Über SteamVR hatte ich leider ständig Abstürze. Über Meta Link (kabellos) läuft das Spiel bei mir hingegen einwandfrei. Wie es mit Kabel aussieht, kann ich nicht sagen. Fazit: Trotz kleiner technischer Hürden: Für mich ein absolut positives Erlebnis. Ich bin echt happy mit dem Spiel – klare Empfehlung, besonders wenn man nach einem hochwertigen VR-Erlebnis sucht! is very buggy and keeps pausing and pulling out the notepad without any prompt when playing with my pimax crystal super which is a shame since it seems like it could be pretty nice if it just worked

Have not been able to get this working due to one problem or another with the Rockstar Protection. Despite this saying that I have 20 plus hours in the game that was just the screen asking for me to add my Steam supplied key ( which didn't work ). Has been a total nightmare dealing with the publishing company ( Rockstar ) and I will make sure that I never buy another game from them again. Total waste of time and money.
