Knights of the Crusades

Has to be crowned as the game with the most bugs I have ever played. Crashes constantly, and the payoff for playing falls off after about thirty minutes. Bad game, don't buy. This is my first negative review for a game. I'd rather hype up games I enjoy rather than speak poorly of someone's work, but this is just a trashy cash grab. Literally buy anything else.

I would consider this to be a low graphic cross between Total War and the map play of Mount & Blade. Both elements are fun to play. I would not look for a lot to be released with this game for the future based on what Indie.io has published in the past. Its fun, its addictive and it does not cost that much. Definitely worth the buy, just don't expect some AAA game. Game does crash every now and then. Happens to me when transitioning from RTS city mode, to world view.

Just requested refund for this game, altough I enjoyed the time, it was playable. However, getting it to start at 3840x1080 was the first pain in the xxx - even with changing the settings manually, initially it continued starting incorrectly, making it impossible to do anything. Next issue are the constant crashes - also here I tried with going for English, but it did not help. Having said that, what's the use of a good game, you cannot play...

few RANDOM crash fixes needed then a review

I just finished the New Order Campaign and I had a blast! This game has a truly unique 4x campaign map and rts town management that is so satisfying. If you're a total war fan and a lover of classic RTS, this game is for you, Its RTS battles remind me of Battle For Middle Earth 2, in a good way! It’s like if Mount and Blade, stronghold, and BFME had a baby. The New Order campaign was fun! Starting you off a no-name lord and sending you on a quest to the holy land. Balancing campaigning in the middle east and expanding my holdings in Europe was satisfying and fun. RTS town management is great, with every city feeling unique and alive. Diplomacy, research, and economic gameplay are all present and well done, this game does not feel like a spreadsheet. The Seljuk campaign was apparently too hard for me, even on easy. I got creamed by four Crusader armies of 1,000 strength between them before I could muster a defense. Now I plan to play a sandbox campaign. You can tell this is a passion project by a talented and dedicated team. I loved it so much I went and bought some of the past games in this series, even though they look very similar. I did not experience crashing.

this game crash`s all the time. can`t get that far into it before a crash, than reloading the game it will just crash again

Releasing a game usually means stamping out most bugs before making people pay for it - it's crashed several times for me and I haven't even gotten a full hour of play yet. This is not good. The game itself seems nice though.

OK, this is a great game. It does crash now now and again. Not bad. though. The game itself is really good, not too difficult to play and has a great story line.

The game consistently locks up around Apr, 1120 and I'm unable to continue past that point. Doesn't matter what I'm doing. I tried three different campaigns and the result is the same. Even restarting and loading a save doesn't seem to solve the issue. The game is poorly optimized and routinely stutters. I'm running a Ryzen 7950, 128 GB of Memory, RTX 4090, and the game is installed on a NVMe drive. Still runs like a turd.

the game is worth the money you pay for it, the only annoying thing is that you need to save the game all the time during the campaign; suddenly you get out from the game from an unusual error! hope with the next update they can fix it! other than that the game in his simplicity gives you a vibe of Mount & Blade mixt with Stronghold Crusader somehow! Enjoy!
