I like it but even for that price it's too short. Thought for sure I was just about to open the next area but no, that was it. If it was doubled in length it would be worth the price. Steam really needs to add a mixed reivew option cause it's too short to get a thumbs up but enjoyable enough that I don't want to give it a thumbs down.
(I found this game earlier this week through some cool .gif's on a game dev subreddit and applied to help test it. ) This was a fun little adventure game. I beat it on my second try in just under an hour. The first thing that stands out to me is how comfortably-spooky it is. I love the atmosphere; how there is a deep fog/mist that begs you to explore more. The game uses a dash teleport to move around, which works well. You pick up a torch to light your way and solve puzzles. After a bit, a little companion follows you around that you can use to solve puzzles as well. There are some basic enemies, but the focus seemed to be on exploration and finding treasure. I had one small issue of loosing the companion that follows you around when i opened the steam menu. I mentioned it to the developer, and they fixed it. For 5 bucks its a pretty good experience. Let me know if you have any questions.
A delightful adventure. Beautiful minimal visual design with great music. It's an environment I really enjoy. It's a quick play, but the price is right.
I played this on the Oculus Rift with Touch controllers and can confirm it is NOW Oculus compatible (at least on the beta version). I did purchase this game originally. But the Touch controllers did not work at all. I requested and got a full refund. I wrote a review complaining about the lack of Oculus Rift comptability. The dev responded by saying he would work on that and sent me a key in exchange for testing the beta build. I really worked for this key. Looking back at it, I would rather have paid. Time is money. However, in the end, I am very happy to have been a part of the Oculus Rift compatibility of this game. For whatever reason, there aren't too many open world exploration games in VR. I would describe this game as a meditative exploration game with very light puzzle and shooter elements. The puzzles are logical (not find a hidden key type of puzzle). The graphics are cute and cartoony. The world is imaginative. It is not the biggest VR world so don't expect to explore for hours on end. In fact, the game from start to finish for the average gamer will probably be 30-40 minutes. For experienced gamers, it may be as little as 15 minutes. A very casual gamer may take an hour or longer. Movement is by teleportation. You can choose blink or slide. I prefer slide. I think this game is meant to be taken in slowly. It's more about enjoying the world versus trying to speedrun. Unfortunately, the game does end suddenly at the final boss. The final boss fight was anti-climatic. That's really my main criticism. This needed more difficulty, whether there's a hidden weakness to boss or a more intense encounter. I do recommend this game. I probably spent more than $4.99 timewise on this game playtesting it. But I enjoyed the final product. And I am happy to have been a part of it. Now go exploring!
A very pleasant experience. The teleport locomotion is different than what I'm used to, moving me quickly along instead of blinking me into position. It didn't bother me but I wonder if it might be challenging for some. The graphics are quite good and the controls are easy enough to master. I really enjoyed the initial gameplay.
Positive Merkmale:

Schlichte aber knuffige Grafik
Endlich mal was anderes abseits der Wave-Shooter
Rätsel sind nicht so leicht zu lösen
Einige Action-Einlagen eingestreut zur Abwechslung
Negative Merkmale:

Kindled Cavern is a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. The art style is straight up cute (for lack of a better term) and is very pleasing in it's own artistic uniqueness. At most the game will take you half an hour to complete, the puzzles are fun, require a little bit of thinking, but overall doesn't present anything too challenging. Overall is it worth your money? For $4.50 you don't have much to lose, I enjoyed my time in the cavern and will definitely be showing this to friends and family who enjoy puzzles.
Little time trial puzzle exploration game with nice graphic style and sound. Positive: + graphics and sound +something different Negative: - first playthrough just took me 30 minutes, from now on it's only about improving time/gold
I just got my Vive and wanted to explore a relaxing enviroment. That's exsactly what I got, it's happy, a little spooky but in a inviting way. The atmosphere makes it clear the game is glad to have you here. It's like going on a imaginary adventure when your a kid, everything is so happy and at your own pace. My recommendation is to not try to "beat" this game, instead take your time and enjoy it. There is no rush, and if you try to rush through the game you'll be left with a source taste in your mouth because the game is so short. But if you instead really take everything in you'll get a nice walk through a friendly cavern.
Got thru it but it was not easy. You need to use the ghost a couple of time by throwing to through or over and i could not do it. After 20 attempts I had to cheat and walk thru walls to get the ghost to where I wanted it. Glad I finished it but it was a pain over all.
