exactly what youre expecting it to be, which is a rare thing these days
Ready Or Not - Easy 10/10 Not only was the actual story of the game / lore very addicting - but I love how this game isn't scared to get into some heavy topics. I genuinely like the idea of the game too (Being a swat commander) and it's also multiplayer! The only mission I personally struggled with was Twisted Nerve - if i genuinely have to describe Ready Or Not, it is the scariest game i have played that isn't meant to be a horror game. Whether its suspects running at you from dark corners, or just the heavy topics Ready Or Not gets into - this game is very thrilling and I 100% recommend. I love the gameplay and the way you have to adapt with each level, and if you get bored this game throws S ranking missions into the question. If you get bored with the base game, Void has 3 beautiful DLCs to add on to the game! OVERALL - very satisfactory, 10/10 keep up the good work Void!
injustice simulator, where you play as a decently incompetent police officer who concistancly shoots his fellow officers.
Context. I have gamed for over 20 years and this is my first review. I have well over 10,000s hours in PC gaming alone. This is my first review of game. I think that games without AI might perform AI tasks better than this game. I cannot fathom how the devs even coded bots. I genuinely do not think they play their own game. Has anyone here played Greased Palms and had their head disappear in a single bullet? Makes sense. The armed, potentially trained gunmen? are more lethal than John Wick if you removed both of his arms. Imagine allowing bots to CONTINUE to shoot at walls after you break line of sight. Oh? you though them shooting you through walls was silly? Imagine my disbelief when they would kick down doors and kill me before their foot was down. Incredible coding btw. ROE must be a joke in this game as well. My bad for shooting the dude holding a hostage. I didn't think he was a threat either! And the cherry on top? Your special team of four is SPECIAL INDEED. If you thought "wow these ACTUAL FCKING CRACKHEADS THAT ARE HIGH can aim really well. I wonder how well my very trained SWAT team is" well bummer for you, you have 4 ai teammates that would rather slobber on the metaphorical keyboard. Should I pick up the gun in the cleared room or should i walk into the hallway where I know 3 other gunmen are? Easy question for you teammate, ask him and watch his brain matter leave his head. I wont even open the can of worms that we call vests. I will die on the hill the Devs do NOT play their own game, lest on hard. Imagine working on this game for this long, loving it this much, and hating you entire fan base. Fix you AI, its so sad to see a wonderful game be dragged down by a sorry excuse of a enemy aim and hostility system. I have zero words for how much disdain I have for you lack of ears or care for your systems. Fix it ADDITIONAL EDIT. I think designing suspects (Jack) to never go down to any less lethal is WILD. Yes yes, you must SHOOT him and NOT kill him. Makes perfect sense. A grown blonde normal human taking over 10 bottles of gas, pepper ball, beanbags, and melees. I stand by my statement more than ever that the devs do not play their own game. Normal difficulty and Jack is actually god. Mind you he will shoot civilians, because that's what government agents who have not blown their cover yet do! Excellent design of AI!
I suck at this game BUT I try to learn I love it, it is great, I love the idea It is fun... even in singleplayer mode It is hard, but I love it I DO recommend this game. Graphics are great, I love the amount of weapons you can choose 8/10
Shot some innocent civilians Reloaded Then shot a couple more Emptied my inventory of rounds for primary, secondary and grenades and all tactical gear Went home and played this game Best game!
Ready or Not is the closest thing we've gotten to a true successor to SWAT 4. In my opinion, it scratches that tactical itch that forces you to slow down and actually think before kicking in every door. Every mission feels tense because one bad decision can completely change how things play out. That being said, the game definitely has its frustrations. The AI can feel unfair at times, and I completely understand why so many players complain about it. I also think chasing the "S" rank by using only non-lethal weapons is a strange design choice, especially when you're responding to an active shooter who is trying to kill people. Thankfully, the modding community has done an incredible job fixing a lot of these issues. I highly recommend installing a few AI and gameplay mods because they make the experience far less frustrating without taking away what makes the game fun. Overall, I absolutely recommend Ready or Not, but only if you're willing to mod it a little. Once you smooth out some of the rough edges, the game really comes into its own and becomes one of the best tactical shooters I've played in years.
Enemy AI have 360° vision, almost never miss shots, know your exact location for several seconds after seeing you so will shoot you through several walls even with no vision, have reaction times that are literally faster than humanly possible (look it up), strafe extremely quickly, and can instantly detect you through gaps so small that you won't even recognise that there's another human being on the other side of it. This means that combat becomes a slog of enemies seeing you for a tenth of a second and sprinting to another room while mag-dumping you with 100% accuracy. VOID is supposedly aware of this but the AI has been like this for years with marginal changes. In contrast, your supposedly heavily trained (and implied to be a brainwashed super soldier) SWAT officer moves at the speed of a snail that took 300mg of melatonin, sways their gun like their arms are made of wet spaghetti even when walking as slowly as possible, still holds most of their body out when taking cover unless you use the Free Lean mechanic (which is so sensitive that you'll end up leaning most of your body out anyway), cannot penetrate most objects even with AP ammo, and is so inept when handling recoil from a pistol that the gun will literally point directly upwards. No, this is not a skill issue, your camera does not move so you cannot counter the recoil. In conclusion your guy will miss most of his shots if he's moving at all or firing in quick succession while every enemy in a five mile radius perfectly hits him through several walls even with their backs turned to him. You can try to pull yourself back into cover but he won't get far and your enemies are much faster runners than you could possibly imagine. Oh, and your AI teammates were dropped on their heads when they were babies. It might as well be lore.
