This is a compelling sci-fi base-building and survival game that blends colony management, resource scarcity, and exploration into a rewarding experience. It constantly forces difficult decisions: balancing the needs and morale of your population while ensuring the colony has enough resources to survive and achieve its objectives. It strongly reminds me of Frostpunk in this way. The game follows a structured story campaign, with each scenario presenting unique challenges and advancing the overall narrative. This focus on storytelling works well and gives players a clear sense of purpose throughout the experience. However, it does come at the cost of replayability. Maps and scenarios are not randomly generated, meaning subsequent playthroughs largely follow the same path. While multiple difficulty settings help extend the game's lifespan, there is less variety than in many other colony-building games. Difficulty is one of the game's strengths. It presents a challenging puzzle that demands careful planning and efficient resource management, yet it rarely feels unfair. Unlike some survival games that punish every mistake harshly, this one allows players to recover from setbacks, and the ability to save prevents failures from becoming overly frustrating. Where the game truly shines is in its sense of discovery. Exploring the surrounding space, uncovering new resources, expanding your reach, and progressing through the story creates a satisfying feeling of adventure. Combined with the tension of keeping your colony alive, these elements make for an engaging and memorable journey. While its limited replayability may disappoint players looking for endless sandbox possibilities, the combination of strategic colony management, challenging decision-making, and narrative-driven exploration makes this a standout experience for fans of survival and city-building games.
A city builder with an actual story ending was the only reason I bought this game and it was amazing the atmosphere, the music, the survival elements all was enjoying totally worth the money
Very good stuff. This isn't an entry-level title for new players to the survival city-builder genre. However, for seasoned players who know the mechanics, it offers a thoroughly rewarding and enjoyable challenge. It's not a difficult game as other mentioned, it just doesn't have much of a tutorial. The soundtrack and overall spacey atmosphere really stand out.
Pretty fun but stupid ending. Get on deep discount.
If you have played Frostpunk before, you'd love this game, especially the boss fight, which is waaay better. It's similar to Frostpunk, but both have their own way and tbh i find it much easier
The game is great. The story is original, simple enough to understand and deep enough if you want to loremaxxing. The game is quite difficult, I had to switch mid playthrough to easy, because otherwise I'd had to start from scratch due to some mistakes I mad in the beginning with my layout. But even after that chapter 4 was a hell of a challenge. There are a couple of mechanics I didn't like: 1) random depression which is irrevertable and permanent. And there's no positive events too, like "we have a ♥♥♥♥ tone of food in our storage, +1 stability", no. There's something randomly positive, but it does not affect stability, it just gives some percentage of trust. 2) Just delete this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanic with building roads to collect resources whenever a new sector gets opened. It's frustrating, especially removing the roads after everything is gathered. The hull is the body, and we are its blood.
This is utterly fantastic. Reminds me of "The Expanse" love the hard sci-fi. i actually finished this game, thats rare.
Really good atmosphere
Frostpunk type game in space with a nice and interesting story
