I'm Making a Monster

It is a fairly short game, but I did enjoy it a lot. Beautiful art style, a gorgeous story, but yeah, pretty short.

I haven't played this long, but the art style is beautiful and the story so far is rich in the notions of dedication versus obsession. I was drawn to this title ever since I saw its announcement, and so far I've not been disappointed. This is my first review for a game ever.

This is a hard-hitting, short but poignant game, that meditates on themes of grief and personal wellbeing. The beautiful watercolour illustrations and the writing perfectly convey a sense of quiet melancholy that pervades the story. It's a sombre-cozy feeling, and I appreciated it. If you're looking for a something reflective and deeply resonant, I'd really recommend trying the game!

i’ve been looking forward to playing this all week!! i played the demo months and was instantly hooked by the art and mystery of the story. after completing one play though, i can say the wait was definitely worth it! i’m making a monster is a lovely, simple exploration of grief, community, and letting go. it balances light hearted humour with heavy emotional pain in a way that’s easy to digest without diluting emotional impact. i lost someone i loved a few months ago and the game really made my heart clench and ache with how it perfectly represented the desire to desperately cling to any semblance of your loved one. i’m excited for play another route and see how things go! would definitely recommend :)

I was playing the game just fine, enjoying the story so far and then my computer glitches out twice and guess what? definitely destroyed my graphics driver!! :) <3 thank you

Absolutely love this. I really liked QDRP by Zorkie just continues to get better and better as the release more. Definitely play if you love yearning. yuri, beautiful graphics, and storytelling.

一部披着实验题材外衣的互动短篇，不是一款传统的怪物制造游戏。适合喜欢手绘风格、分支叙事和情感主题的玩家。游戏优点是主题明确，关于悲伤、心理健康、友谊与社区支持的表达很真诚；缺点是部分段落文字较多，叙事节奏偏慢，结尾有关殖民历史和酷儿群体的声明也比较直接，可能会让只想看剧情的玩家感到突兀。 游戏中朋友们一次次前来敲门，玩家要决定是接受帮助、继续封闭自己，还是把全部希望寄托在作品上。表面上是在组装怪物，实际讲的是失去/重要的人/之后，怎样用工作和执念逃避悲伤，玩到最后会发现怪物既是造物也是主角无法放下过去的象征。手绘美术很有特色，随着时间和心理状态变化的画面也很有感染力，尤其人物肖像。流程不长，但分支不少，不同结局对完成作品、放下逝者还是重新连接他人有不同的结局。

This game is on the shorter side, but it packs quite an emotional punch! I found myself really drawn in by the story and the characters. The art is also spectacular! If you're looking for something quick that explores grief and trying to return to a world that's moved on without you, I'd recommend checking this out!

Very visual pleasing game! While the play time is short the music, story, and art going all into it is worth the playthrough.
