About
Do you like hot dogs? How about horseshoes? Hand grenades? (everyone likes hand grenades) Anyway, we've got all that, and guns. SO MANY GUNS. So if you like ordnance, meat, and groan-worthy puns, this is the VR sandbox game for you.
Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades (H3VR for short), is the heaping pile of our mad obsessive VR experiments. This has been an impressionistically developed experience, over 10+ years and a 120+ updates.

Assemble your ultimate range companion from over 600 Firearms and 250 Attachments. Customize your perfect loadout, be it tacti-cool or utterly cursed and save it for future play. Share your creations with your friends too!

Try out your favorite platforms on H3’s suite of Firing and Demolitions ranges. Improve your aim and reaction time in the M.E.A.T.S. target shooting trainer and Compete on global leaderboards.

Combat some of the most sophisticated AI Agents in VR (yup, even though they’re hot dogs), at range or in melee. Put your mastery of H3’s massive arsenal to the test, and even join the First 2 Wurst Tournament Community on Discord!

Dive into a Wiener’s Weird World; a land overtaken by confused but affable sentient meat and the ruins of bizarre firearm themed attractions. Experience an absurd fragmentary tale told through multiple genres of game.

Enjoy the various goofball holiday event modes the game has gotten over the years, including our much beloved biennial Meatmas Firearm Advent Calendar.

Battle your way through this Sci-fi Action Roguelite. In Take & Hold you are the intruder to the system. Equip yourself to take and then defend control points, while defeating Encryption Targets of escalating complexity. Earn tokens for your performance and spend them in item shops to prepare for the next wave.

Awake outside the town of Wienerton, where a plague of rotten undead meat has beset the eccentric townsfolk of the Honey Hamlet. Find weaponry, craft powerups and explosives, and complete quests on your journey to discover the cause of the Rotwiener outbreak.

Fight in the Meat Fortress combat arena. Made with the official permission of Valve, this loving homage to one of our favorite games has Meaty parodies of Team Fortress 2’s 9 iconic classes, and VR adaptations of the entire original firearm set of the game, as well as over a dozen original creations made in the TF2 style.

Explore the ruins of the Wurstwurld amusement park. Solve puzzles, complete extreme horseshoe challenges, stand off against robit bandits and collect old logs that reveal the background on the most foolhardy and most assuredly not child safe amusement park doomed to failure.

Survive the Meat Grinder, the very first game mode added to H3 back in 2016. Navigate by flashlight through a surreal hellish fast food themed maze, collect precious ammo, defending against animatronic assailants, and dragging the ‘meat’ back to the Grinder in time.

game is still in early access yet he announces a new game? After 10 years a new game with better graphics and no new features, its just a slap in the face that he does this to avoid his debt.
Very good game but the dev has a clear political bias and is stubborn against adding anything to the game. He is constantly contradicting himself by adding things that he said before was bad for the game like replacing the the controllers for human hands which he did in h3vr2 when he said orginally was gross and uncanny. He repeatedly insulted the community in the past, called people nazis or wehraboos for wanting german ww2 guns when theres already some in the games (again contradicting himself) There isnt even guns jamming in the game same as for holding the gun with two hands, same for chambering a bullet in a gun without a mag which in theory would be something you should be able to do in a simulation no ? Him calling people weirdoes and wanting a mass murderer game simply for wanting humans to shoot at instead of a single blob of mass, which doesnt even features a smaller head to atleast put some challenge. He even bans mods that would add humans, which is strange for a person that call himself libertarian to be authoritarian himself. This game is simply unfinished becasue of the pretentiousness and gatekeeping of the dev, just strange how Helldiver did that too and is dead when the dev of this game has a cult following on social medias like reddit and youtube. TLDR: The game is good, its not realistic by any means tho dont expect some advanced cqb from this game and h3vr2 too, also dont expect the dev to listen to you or the community as a whole, he already sold out to meta after saying he was anti-corpo and insulting people for it lmao. This is the only game where you cannot separate the politics from the game lmaoooo
This is hands down the BEST VR gun sim that you can buy, I've spent countless hours in this game doing random things and have never gotten bored. The modding community is awesome and there's so many different mods to choose from. Go pick up the game if you haven't already! 11/10
rdr2 is more realistic
♥♥♥♥ game. Lacks basic control QoL, is mostly a bunch of empty maps.
Seems instead of finishing this one, they release a new game. Typical early access behaviour.
Может выпустить первую часть в полный релиз, вместо создания второй части?
I typically avoid reviewing games until they're out of early access, so now that that's the case with H3VR I'll start by putting this quote right at the top:
This game could have reasonably exited Early Access 7 years ago, and it would have been the size and complexity of most VR games at that time. We have left it in EA because it is funny, and because I just didn't care to take the label off, and we have enjoyed continuing to pour more FREE content into the game.
That quote is from a few weeks before this 1.0 release, and ignoring the flippant attitude for a second I don't feel like playing an old build of the game to check how true that is, but I think it's fair to expect those seven years to be spent keeping pace with other more fleshed out VR titles. The part about 'free updates' is disingenuous, early access games are supposed to get updated until their completion, that's the whole point, you are not doing a charitable act when you finish the game, you are doing your job. ...Is what I would like to say, but the now finished release doesn't feel finished at all, the hands never stopped being sphere colliders that look like a debug mode, same for the holsters, and just to compare to another 2026 release for fairness, Into the Radius 2 also left early access this year and has full visuals for magazine pouches and holsters (which can be repositioned), as well as hands and arms, the main menu is a dumping ground of half baked concepts, which for some reason has a section for 'legacy' scenes yet somehow most of the scenes aren't put there despite also being unfinished experiments. The three main scenes that you are presented with in the main menu are Take & Hold, aka the closest thing to a real, polished gamemode that was made in a decade of development, the tutorial level that doesn't teach you everything, and a new gun range that was added in the 1.0 release. I think it speaks to the priorities of the developer that he thought what the game really needed was another gun range that still looks like a dev test, with the sausage people making the same meat jokes they always have. He was working on a hitman-like gamemode at one point but I guess he gave up because he realised that would have been hard. I tried the older scenes at some point a while ago, my memories aren't fresh but it's a mix of extremely underbaked zombie shooter, a bunch of range shooting challenges, there's a king of the hill mode in there somewhere, don't ask where because I don't remember, it's a mess. There's a fair few other baffling issues like the fact that you can't walk down certain stairs on the singular large interior Take & Hold map without flying right over them, this also happens when walking and it's a ridiculous that this is even an issue, there's also the weird decision to make players twist their hand back to access the menu when so many games put it on your wrist and it works fine. There's also multiple different styles of menu throughout the game, it reminds me of how sometimes you'll see older styles of UI when using Windows. The single selling point of the game is the same as ever, it has the most guns in VR, note it doesn't have the BEST guns in VR, it just has the most (it also has a bunch of fictional guns but I don't count those). If someone were to try and make a VR gun focused game now, they'd have to catch up with this in terms of quantity, and have to deal with the fact it's no longer 2016 and VR optimism is long gone. This is maybe one of the more frustrating aspects of the game, for it to be so successful, one of the most successful PCVR games in fact only for the game to stagnate, never improve, and then spit in the face of the people who supported it by announcing he was actually working on a sequel for some time before this was even 'released'. Now I know some people are going to argue that this sequel will reach that potential, but why would you think that? This game had a decade spent on it where it was just fussing with trivial things as if the developer was bored and not, you know, working on something people paid for. Frankly I don't trust him or his team to suddenly learn game design after a decade of specifically not doing that. Another unfortunate case of wasted potential, I can only hope someone else makes a game with a large arsenal one day that remembers to be a game and not a pithy collection of half-formed ideas.
Лучшая оружейная песочница получила достижения, вышла из раннего доступа и анонс сиквела... Что может быть лучше?
Great game, but still thumbs down. It's just *not* an early access game anymore. It hasn't been for years at this point. Instead of the developers finishing up their game by improving graphics, etc, they instead decide it's about time to make a sequel, without ever finishing up the first. It's fun, don't get me wrong. Most accurate and realistic VR guns period. But it's downright deceitful to make an early access game, never finish it, and then move onto the next. Maybe they won't abandon this game and may keep working on it after the second one comes out. Probably not.
